Commercial Rd was apparently in circus mode at 8.50 this morning. As I turned onto it there was a bloke on a unicycle seemingly gripping the corner of a building for dear life before riding off in the opposite direction... about 50m down the street a builder was awkwardly turning round with 3 enormous planks on his shoulder as if he was in a Laurel & Hardy movie.
Spent the rest of my walk peeling my eyes for cream pies, lion tamers and tiny cars.

Don't like to boast but my account generally hovers around the £10k

TBH if you've got 10k just sat in a savings or current account then

is pretty spot on IMO.
Why not do something more useful with it?

Half of it is in the isa that came with the account, never really looked much into it
I'm completely clueless when it comes to investing or anything like that

Top up your ISA with this years allowance if you haven't already. Consider sticking anything you've got spare in an index tracker fund. It's like a form of passive investment, you'll outperform a standard savings account by a considerable amount with no work on your behalf.
