Think the said above, they got confused between Foward>> and Dubstep.scattybeanhead wrote:soho? really? you don't exactly have to do research, just watch that bassweight documentary or listen to anything any of the old producers have said. where did you even get the idea that dubstep originated in soho mr DMA?
Croydon, Soho, they're both in London aren't they? Just because one's known for facelifts and the other for vice dens doesn't mean they aren't easily confused.scattybeanhead wrote:soho? really? you don't exactly have to do research, just watch that bassweight documentary or listen to anything any of the old producers have said. where did you even get the idea that dubstep originated in soho mr DMA?

Thank you for admitting that forum isnt half shabby.pete bubonic wrote: 1. The first thread I saw in the UKF forum was 'stop calling dubstep, dub' and it was stickied. Fucking props for that.

I refer them to UKF because they'll just get flamed for 3 pages here.Teknicyde wrote:
For being the place the haters refer kids too here, im left to think none of them have bothered posting on the forum to know what they're bitching about.
so what, they're nice kids with interesting things to say.Teknicyde wrote:Thank you for admitting that forum isnt half shabby.pete bubonic wrote: 1. The first thread I saw in the UKF forum was 'stop calling dubstep, dub' and it was stickied. Fucking props for that.
even as someone who doesnt mesh well with dumbass youtube kids, that place can be downright pleasant at times. They have stickies defining dub vs. dubstep, they have a clean layout, on-point promotional platforms, and a much more diverse crowd then people give them credit for.
I actually downloaded a few really bangin future garage tracks over there earlier, and copped an old Pinch set id never heard. Stick that in your pretentious scene-dividing bowl n smoke it.

oh. and they talk about stuff other then how shit dubstep is now on there too...
DOnt get me wrong, dsf will always be my go-to forum, has been for ages and nothings changing that now, but, just sayin.
I really must make my sarcasm more obvious in the future.scattybeanhead wrote:mate if you've ever been to london i think you'd realise the differenceKirei wrote:Croydon, Soho, they're both in London aren't they? I've had this question answered by them and I was told that it is anybody outside the UK. So this is the UK Dubstep Music Awards.idontreallygiveashit wrote:HUGE LOL at Plastician being on the lineup after slating the very idea of the event.
And if you care to answer: What do you mean by best "international" act? Can someone from outside the UK be nominated for best producer? I have zero idea why you would need both categories? What sort of things should be nominated for "best producer" and and what should be nominated for "best international act"?

Will there therefore be an American/European/Asian/Oceana one where UK acts can with best International Artist?
