hear that

I wanna get this one, but I'm skint at the moment, and then I'd need to get a monitor and a keyboard and then transport it all up to Manchester where my internet connection isnt nearly as good. Plus I dont know whether the one I'm looking at is actually any good and whether it'll be outdated in no time.
That is not value for £. Never buy a pre-built rig if you want to minimise the spend. I just built a new rig, so I'm up on all the current geek stuff.

I just built a system for the same money as that rig you quoted (minus monitor and Hdd's), which is 30-40% better. You can knock £90+ off what I built if your not bothered about overclocking, silence and looks.

Forget AMD. Bulldozer is a lame duck, you would have to overclock the hell out of it, and they will be bringing a new version out soon anyway (piledriver), which still won't be as good as intel.

(For MAX graphics in any current game and reasonable future-proofing @ 1680x1050)

You will have to spend at least £155 for an Intel i5 2500k, but £20 more will get you the new ivybridge intel. As for GPU you will need at least ATI 6870 £140, But I know a place you can get a 6950 for the same money.

Aria is the best place in the uk for pc stuff and they are based in Manchester. If your stuck I could make a build at aria if you give me a target £.

I got the rig for dual DAW/gamer rig for Dayz, but I grew bored of Dayz just watching people run about all day on youtube. So I play GTA IV and BF3 etc...

This game is amazing.
And it's running superbly.
Got an M16, ran out of ammo and got surprised by a zed.
Proceeded to run away for 20 min before stopping and just letting him kill me.

This game, mother f.
I have been well set on 2 occasions.
Everything I need, from morphine to bloodpacks to alice pack to ammo.
I get shot at by some random.
He misses but tracks into the building and shoots me in the face.
I was trying to be nice but got killed.

2nd time, same story.
Map, compass, etc. just needed a water bottle.
While searching for one I come across a guy in the airfield.
We stare at each other.
I type friendly.
He stares back.
And then stands up and shoots me in the face.
Fucker.
He had a scoped rifle and everything.

Tactics have now changed from survival to survive at all costs.
Screw survivors taking my stuff.
I was in game for 4 hours finding everything, I killed 15 zeds in one doorway alone and managed to get out of town.
Only to be killed by a random dude who then proceeds to heckle me over voip.
Calling me a pussy.
"Hello , Hello, pussy, hello."

I may just get voip so that I can tell them to fuck off.

I've collected 4 spare compasses (!) and a spare set of night vision goggles if anyone in here wants them. Also got multiple spare maps, knives, binoculars, matches, tents, guns, etc if you're a fresh spawn. I'd offer up some vehicles but we've had about 8 stolen in the past few days and I've not managed to re-steal any yet! steam: cruising_beef

Either add me on steam (cruising_beef) and I'll come meet you ASAP with spare NVG/compass/food/etc or feel free to raid any of these bases (I've started taking notes on all the bases I raid!):

LU70
005 063 - many tents in about half a click square. L85 thermal, M16, M4A1, M16 ACOG, some other guns, lots of ammo and other shit.
002 067 - two tents, Food, drink, fueltank parts.
009 072 - one tent, chemlights, food, drink, Bizon SD, two clips
014 089 - night vision, rangefinder, food, drink, bare STANAG, one camo clothing
xxx xxx - many tents, many rangefinders, many NVG, many AS50's, M107's etc (fairly near Kamenka, too fruitful to make public, hit me on Steam)

LU71
006 102 - AKM, some ammo.
001 093 - squashed tent city. May well respawn fully stocked with loot.
011 071 - two empties
006 058 - two tents, lots of jerries, DMR, engine parts
016 047 - three tents, FN FAL, ammo, food
014 038 - single empty
016 036 - single empty
018 014 - three tents, spare tents, PDW, M9, Glock 17, M1911, ammo

That should get you started! Some of the empties may well be re-stocked, who knows. If anyone's not sure how to read the co-ordinates, the first three are X-axis and the second three are Y-axis. 001 001 is far north-west. 200 200 would be off-map to the south east. I've located everything without GPS so it's not 100% perfect but I am pretty good at navigating, they won't be far off at all.
