Nice tune. I like the way its quite a heavy tune, but it builds up progressively, with new little elements popping up throughout. Makes it the type of tune you like to roll from beginning to end. Yeah, real nice tune.
paravrais wrote:Got a new tune "TribesmanDub" www.virb.com/sativabreather also havn't had any feedback for the last tune I posted "Sloe Dub" so feel free to take a look at that too.

peace.

I'm feeling this, nice choice of instruments. Really chilled out. Fuck me! and then it drops heavy like almost 2mins into it! Nice. Howd you make those like warping echoey noises? The one thing I would say is that snare at the beginning sounds a bit too wet for my liking, I'd crispen it up a bit, or that's how I'd have it anyway! Yeah, two phat tunes.

I'd also be appreciative of any feedback on my tune. It's only my 1st ever tune and I've been playing around with it. I feel like I wanna add in some little weird blips and sound effects and shit, but I'm not sure if that would make it too busy. I'm still getting my head round how to eq and compress shit properly, so any tips on that is sweet too.

Right, this may seem pretty presumptuous of a n00b here but after reading a little it would seem like my post in Dubs will be ignored.

Here are my tunes, they vary from the minimalist to the comedic to the downright poor. Hope you enjoy, If anyone needs anything in higher quality to remix or anything just give me a shout http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... =220114896

Cheers, yeah a lot of the drum noises in that track were made vocally into my mic then edited etc, worked really well for some sounds but I was always a bit unsure of the snare. Might wack a nice SNAP sound behind it or something :p

Either got mad dejavu or i've given feedback on this tune before although I think you have edited it since then. I'm not a huge fan of the vocal samples, maybe add a small bit of reverb/distortion just to roughen em up? Also about adding little blips etc in the bg, I used to worry my tunes would sound too clustered if I went too far with things like that but it hasn't happened to me yet! As far as I can tell, unless you have been working on the same tune for months theres probably gonna be something else you could put into the background that'll make it soun a bit fuller/better.

Hey man, love the choice of sounds on Krimz - seems almost housey kind of sounds, which sound really cool out of context. I think this tune could benefit from a better mix, some eqing and compression (something I can work on for my own tunes).

Eklu is similarly well written, has interesting sounds and could also benefit from a better mix.

Great stuff man.

Friendly note for new visitors to this thread:

Please read the first post for the guidelines:

http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 35&start=0

The most important bit: Try to drop some feedback on at least three tunes, otherwise this won't work properly

This thread can be a great resource if people follow this guideline and cheers to those that have been. Lots of great tunes and feedback lately.

The intro is well made, but it seems long considering the song really gets going around 1:24. maybe do a shorter intro then skip forward to 1:24, then icorporate some of the other intro stuff later in the song.

Nice sounds on the intro, I feel it could do with being in time a bit more some more panning though. Overall great vibe a good mix down would be good (Listening on headphones so may be wrong) nice ideas and production though big ups.
Loving track #1 (decompressed) already and I am still on the intro, great synth work here, drums sound lush - some verb on that snare would be great it seems a bit to clean for this style of tune. I feel more could be done then just putting in a few wobble melodies with this track but its your track not mine hehe, the melodies great - percussion is nice too. I like the re-introduction of the string/pads, that added a nice touch as I was about to say it lacks some atmosphere, great track I like this one a lot!

Firstly, big ups on the follow on soundcloud :P

Krimz : Great atmosphere and reese bass in the intro, kick could have more mid end and more punch, the lead has a nice sound to it though, love the horns and electric string-sounds loads of great sounding effects in here and it rolls along nicely, very techy and very subtley produced you can hear the attention to detail and how you spent a lot of time getting the structure in a very expressive way.. I love the way it changes up so much and with so many sounds its beautifully chaotic, I really really like this track very much my style a 320 would be great! the melody is very very nice, that electronic string/pad sound what plays throughout is lush! If it was released vinyl or digital, i'd buy it and personally think it deserves it.

Untitled on your myspace has a really warm feel to it, almost comforting. I tend to like tunes that mess with peoples minds a bit and you have a great opportunity there to hit people in the face with something unexpected. One thing I would love in that track would be some kind of squarepusher effect every few bars on the drums. But that's just me, I like my breakcore too much.

Shot Up is pretty sweet, in all honesty the only suggestion I could reasonable make would be to brighten up that kick a little. Seriously nice tune there.

That tune is bloody fantastic. It started off a bit too garagey for me, but when that massive attack/portishead style vocal drops it all changes and wraps you in a ghostly fuzziness.

Good work.

Drum programming on this is stellar! For real, great programming, well done, lots of changes, while still keeping it simple (in a good way). Definitely inspiring for me to get my weight up in the drums department.

Love the vocal sample - very unique sounding.

The melodic part that comes in at 0:55 seconds I like, but something is a bit off to me - for some reason the 5th note sounds a bit too "out" for my ear. That's just me though

Wooo!

"Untitled" is DOPE!

Drums are spectacular. Love the melody and the little beep. Big up!

This is the first tune that I actually finished. It is a lo-Fi dubstep inspired track with a bit of glitch hop influence. I would really appreciate some feeback on it!
BIG UPS TO ALL!
