thinking about cutting my own hair, nothing fancy - just a trim with the shaver ( 4 all over or 4 top + 3 sides if im feeling brave). Out of 10, how bad of an idea is this?

I always do my own, but i only ever keep it a consistent length (2 or 3) so cant say how even itll be trying to make the sides different from the top.

I tried cutting my own hair with scissors once when i was about 12. It looked like complete shit and had some mullet thing left at the back, I got the absolute piss ripped out of me at school the next day

Yeah, same... I'm not sure I'd want to try and keep the sides/back a different length on my own, but I can't see the point in paying someone £10 to run a grade 1 clipper over my melon when I can stand in the bath once every fortnight making my housemates think I'm using the world's loudest bum vibrator.

Only time I did that I came out looking like the chick from Die Antwoord. I was about 7... hid in my bedroom for HOURS.
