@Neptune - For some reason I thought you were at university studying English. Am I wrong?

That's just tekken liberties with the source material.

I'm doing a joint honours course: English & French.

 Why do you write fuck all next to the pictures of the films you've seen then? What was Marilyn like? Did you enjoy The Beach or has it scarred your memory of the book?
Give us some insight, hun!

oh

Um, My Week with Marilyn was watchable. Kinda wish I didn't pay £13 to see it though. Michelle Williams was a good Marilyn. Some nice English countryside scenery in it which is always good :W:
I'd never seen the Beach before, and I just thought it was one of those films you have to watch. I thought the plot was really creative, and it makes me want to read the book. Thought Leo was decent in it, and Tilda Swinton scares me, but I like that about her.

tripping,
I'm hoping to resee the first 10 minutes,
fascinated,
& last 10 minutes of Melancholia,
smiling.

In between
I'd rather be in a coma,
to avoid being annoyed shitless
by von Trier's emotional surrogate Dunst,
her cleavage being the only compensation
for his using her
to advocate for the superiority
of the depressive's point of view
in the face of world destruction
(read: his impending death)

which isn't to say it wasn't worth the wade once
for it's insight into the black dog.

Thought this would be boring but was pleasantly surprised. It's one of those "what would you do" movies.

Finally saw The Departed, was pretty decent but the amount of continuity flaws was ridiculous.

Saw Ocean's Thirteen again the other night. Not as bad as Twelve but I can't help feeling that the purpose of these films is just to cram as many celebs in them as possible and for Clooney and Pitt to strut around looking sharp

Watched The Mothman Prophecies the other night. It's a pretty shitty movie.
