So...the key is obsessively checking the website every two hours...hell I am not even that fastidious about eBay auctions 90% of the time...
Pretty much, I've bookmarked the shop link and set a reminder in Outlook to check every 2hrs.

See, this is annoying. Before I'd convinced myself I wasn't that bothered, but now I know they're scarce and selling out each time they come in, I want one really badly. Fucks sake

LOTS of potential for this, might have to pick one up. If nothing else I could do custom jingles for podcasts
If you're a boring looking dude above 30 and rep for a technology company, you _need_ an inappropriately youthful bad haircut to make yourself more presentable to a slightly younger audience!
Right? There's such a clash between his naturally greying beard and his neon dyed polygon hair. I bet there's times where he gets drunk and just glares at himself in the reflections of cutlery and other glossy objects.

I refuse to google. Going to assume that's a pager from the 90s.

It's kind of like Kinect, reading movements of your hands and changing the character
of whatever you feed it.

Oh dope. I was thinking of getting a leap motion for midi control. I should figure out how to use my Wacom tablet for midi too, lots of expression possibilities there.

It's similar to a thermin. Three light beams that generate sound as you past your hand over the unit.

Probably not where Flo Rida got his idea from though.

Waitwaitwait. Stop the fucking presses. Now we are crediting Flo Rida for actually thinking up the Beamz idea instead of just signing a contract because $$$$$?

Although I am sure, being the celebrated wordsmith he is, that Flo Rida did suggest the "z" at the end of Beamz instead of the traditional and grammatically correct "s". As, clearly, the marketing needed to be edgy and hip.

Clever move on his part, assuming that the majority of his fanbase can only spell phonetically.

This is one of those things that while cool, doesn't seem to have much real practical studio application. Besides, I kill house plants with neglect. My plants would all write dirges.

I see it's inspired by the work of Mileece. She's had a tune on a Planet Mu comp and was supposed to release an album on there. Her album, 'Formations' is amazing, it was inspired by plants. Her recent music is created by the electric current of plants fed into her own software, though. They kind of went with the concept and are making it more accessible.
