Tbh and this is just my stupid oppinion but i get the impression that there's a lot of racism in liverpool fc. Not just with Carragher being a dumb shit every time his mouth is open.

Is this because of 10+ years of mid table finishes and still claims to be a top European side?wub wrote:This.southstar wrote:I know Liverpool fans and they would be unbearable if they won it

Re: The SNH Football thread
besides loathing city and chelsea, i actively like liverpool at the moment
- nuff respect for their owners handling of the club of late, particulary their 'go fuck yourself' attitude over Suarez. they stood fast and is an example of how clubs can trump player power if they are strong enough
- giving Rodgers the time required to make a difference. shit first season but were not unrealistic, gave him time, and now they are reaping the rewards, another strong example of how clubs should be run that clubs like Spurs should take note of
- exciting football full of goals and attacking play. I think LFC are bringing a lot to the prem this year and they have gone about it the right way

this is the misconception that im on aboutehbrums1 wrote:And as a plus for you guys, a lot of it is through the development of English players
that some times smells a bit racist or at least nationalistic. like gerrard saying prl league needs more english talent or carragher believing the national coach has to be english. in this respect moyes was clearly a bad idea for united, think of how bad an idea it would be now to look for a british alternative to moyes. its a dumb idea to implement in a busyness basicly. even when its a busyness that is culture dependant.
in no way or form will or can it ever benefit english football to believe that it's the best or the most effective way to go about football.
english football has never been the best at anything.
having said all this negative shit and with no intention of offence, i completely agree with what murky said.
rodgers is great and the part of the reason is because he left england for a bit and had his education elsewhere.
but suarez deserves some credit in attitude change aswell. a lot of people should take cue from how he is now at least 'sort of accepted' despite almost fecal if not feral tantrums.

Shaw to Arsenal for a ridiculous fee
Rodriguez staying put
Lambert going to someone like Newcastle/Stoke, only to turn into another James Beattie.

Re: The SNH Football thread
the reason sterling or ibe or henderson is comming up is also because they learn from players of suarez level. there's no way around it

Lallana and Rodriguez I agree, Shaw will end up at Utd, Lambert will probably stay until he's too old to be any goodwub wrote:Lallana I can see going to Spurssouthstar wrote:Which one of the big boys do you think will buy Lallana?wub wrote:Yeah, because Southampton never do that.ehbrums1 wrote:And as a plus for you guys, a lot of it is through the development of English players

Is it just me that thinks national teams should be represented by the best of their nation, be that players, coaches, scouts, manager, physios, sports scientists, etc?hubb wrote:the national coach has to be english.
Almost feels pointless having national teams being managed by coaching staff from a different country.
Re: The SNH Football thread
Yeah lol if saying that the coach should be english is racist then the whole concept of international football is racist.

Either Lallana or Rodriguez will most likely go to United. The battle for Luke Shaw is between Chelsea and City. Arsenal would never pay the £30m+ asking price for him.wub wrote:

Re: The SNH Football thread
garethom
one has breathing room when there isn't anyone available and the other just throws it all on the floor. like united would if they went for a new scott now. or england has done with hodgeson or liverpool with carrol
but ofcourse if rodgers can find english talent in his club then its a given and it makes sence.
when it gets to the point of moyes trying to nationalize januzaj or arteta, it shows that ridiculous pressure and what measures they are willing to take and on what basis.
striving for an ideal takes longer than trying to define yourself via one transfer window, like we've seen a lot of clubs try to do recently. like madrid after mou.
