alexeyherman- I really dug the loudness and distribution of your sounds, man. Not really my style of tune, but it was well-made all the same. Just keep up the good work brotha. :D

wikyd- Like you said, it is sounding a bit muddy at the moment, but if there's anything I would add or change, I'd fix up the first drop and make the heavy bass fade in. That or make it like the second drop. Those solid heavy-bass notes can get rather annoying imo.

burgaemon- Really dug this tune, reminded me of something bassnectar-ish. Especially like the up-beat change-up in your drums and the suddlety of your bass. I'd just change up the placement and variation of your bass for further drops if that helps.

subfect- Seemed a little too ambient imo, but ambient dub isn't one of my strong points. I would add some other type of snare and a little more bass, but thats just me. I like how you do your thing though man. Keep it up.

I've really been getting back at it with the tunes lately, if I could get critiques on all of these it'd be great and I'd appreciate it, but I really need critiques on the first (and 2nd and 3rd) more than the others. Hahah. Cheers my fellow producers----

EDIT- bump from bottom of the last page.

mthrfnk- Dug your tune a bit, brotha. I like the original synth line you had going throughout the tune... Only thing I could think of to make your wip better would be to add a little more variety in the toms/drums leading up to your drops, and get more creative with your 2nd and 3rd drop... Maybe change the bass up/throw some more in there. And it would be nice to change it up to a drum n' bass breakbeat-ish vibe on your third, just to add something to your drums/tempo.

Done in ~8 hours. Very rough scetch, no mixing done whatsoever, drums are mostly loops atm. It's 128 bpm metal inspired dubstep(or whatever ppl call that stuff atm). Actually, I tried to make complextro, but ended up with that, oh well. Name suggestions would also be nice :) Right now this track's name is Complextro(crashed).logic :lol: . Any advice would be appreciated.

@cabre
1)Intro/outro is really sick. I think that lead should start earlier, there is a loss of energy for 10-20 seconds before the lead actually starts. Overall more development would certainly be nice
2) Nice overall atmosphere and development, i think that percussion sticks out too much, but maybe my 5 inch yamahas just suck, who knows.
3) Love the dissonant intro, but i think that second lead should start smoother, the contrast between the dissonant one is a strange one. Panning bass really hit me when a first few times but it starts to feel kinda overused later.
@mthrfnk
Intro does atmosphere right, but the voice is too loud, bass riff after it feels weak in comparison. Bass sound itself needs a bit more edge and movement imo. Track overall needs more development, one bass riff gets kinda boring over the course of 5 minutes.
@bighands
Sounds ok, gets atmosphere right, but needs more variety and development, right now it's just one riff playing over and over with slight variations.
@alexeyhermann
Sick, especially love the reversed piano and slap bass. There are slight mixing problems, some stuff is too loud. I wish there were more calm atmospheric moments to create more contrast.

Alright guys I'm back with my WIP, think I'm at the point where I'm going to need other peoples opinions. And yes I promise you all constructive criticism and feed back. Just extremely tired at the moment. want to make sure I give good feed back.

I think it's really hard to give any criticism. It is a great track..
Perhaps the sub sometimes gets muddy? But then I'm just really trying to find anything. If I'd just listen to it I'd just think "Hey, this is a great track". Or something like that. :D

@mthrfnk
Cool track. I like it but it is a little bit hard to understand what the song is trying to say to me. Almost like the song is insane and stuck in an asylum. Perhaps that was the point? :D
Other than that I think it is a really good start of something.

@Ludge
Like what you have but after awhile it gets repeating. I'd try to compress what you have now to ~1 minute and then add other/new stuff.. breaks, calm parts, w/e suits you.

@Bighands
That waveform looks really strange. :lol:

Here is a song I've been working on since last 48h competition. Any feedback would be awesome!

Ada- That remix is sick. Seriously, I wasn't going to comment really, just listening to stuff but I really wanted to let you know how awesome the track is.
If this was for a remix comp or whatever I'd have a hard time seeing another song win.

Wow thank you so much. :D

First it was in the 48h competition on this forum (make a song in 48h) and then after that competition I continued making it.

Thanks again ^^

Thanks man, so I guess it's done then?
Not really sure what else to do it. Suppose it's not really a dancing song just sounds good? I don't know I feel that I haven't done enough ahah...

Right feedback as promised

@mrthfnk Yo man, Keep at it. Just pound away at that track as it doesn't seem like you're ready for the feedback you want. It needs more of you before we can really dig deep technically. It's headed in the right direction

@Ludge. Keep working at your style, find your creativity. Don't forget to compress/EQ and make sure that you practice your mix downs till its spot on

@kongret not really feeling the intro too much, maybe the quick lead in to the ducking sound more? Also attempt to seperate that hard metal guitar just a tiny more. Sounds a bit muddy, know it's not mix down or mastered yet but I can tell it's not going to turn out well for the guitar less you were going for that feel. The rest was pretty cool. I was digging it, followed you.

@Bighands - what? - re listens.

@ada - Great great mix! Fill in a couple of those missing frequencies on your drops! Like with one or two of the radio voices, or after. Make sure you keep it moving. Other than that, it's really just a good track right back at ya' :o Oh! Add in some sidechaining on those kicks. I don't really hear any, trust' it'll rock your world, just make sure you do it right or save another over or else if you do it wrong/too much it makes your kicks sound fucking gigantic. :cornlol:

Also how do you get that loudness on everything? I think that's what my track needs. The loudness on all components now that they are clear.

mthrfnk- like the weird vibe on this, sounds are nice. has a flow to it no doubt it. the vocal edits are perfect. A little change up here in there would be good though.

cabre-
First track - the gate effect was alright, not a huge fan of having. The perc work is nice though, if you could get different velocitys on them it would mesh a lot cleaner. the second synth that comes in is being sidechained to much i feel. Needs more atmosphers and incidentals.

Second Track- Kick may be a little to snappy. Perc was good again but i feel like if you had atmosphere it would take it even further. The change up in the sounds on the second "drop" doesnt really mesh in my eyes.

Third track- sounds are clashing a little bit in the low end it feels like. I like this one the most, really has a nice gorillaz/daft punk feel to it.

Kongret- Changes in the drums will push this further, the static sample cuts off to quick and just doesnt fit, the vocals and pianos mesh together well. Little reverb on the vocals would be nice.

Fictitious- Intro is mad peaceful lol. Some of the low ends sounds a little blurry. Not sure about the vocal edits in the first progression, The note played at 1:19 sounds off. If you change up on some of the sounds and give it a more glued together it would come out a little better.

Ada- The vocals are editted perfectly. Im a sucker for female vocals. I feel like the kick and snare are sitting to far back behind everything. Make em crunch a little more and get creative with your beats. It will make this progress even further. Not a huge fan of some of the synth sounds but thats just preference.

Now for mine.
Gonna go back tomorrow and run threw the sounds one more time

Travis Baker - excellent feel to this track.
Great intro.
Nice shuffley beat that works well with the bass and droney pad.
Love the wobbly synth that occasionally comes in.
All in all brother I'm really liking this.

Ada - Not a big fan of the style but it's well but together.
Imo the vocal is slightly high in the mix so I tend to keep it quieter to avoid a bit of an ear ringing.
When the mid-range drops it really adds major character to this.
Good work on those mid lines.
I prefer the mid sections to the vocal to be honest.
Nice work though.

oprs - that's a mean ass sound you got there.
Very industrial sounding track.
Almost scorn like in it's darkness and intensity.
Interesting stuff.
Dark and aggressive.

I'll take some feedback on my current WIP.
It's practically there but I'm always interested in what people think could change.

oprs - Really feeling that background synth you got there, subtly adds some flow and feel. The tune flows well together with the hi hats, but it sounds like the snare could do with lil more compression. It also just doesn't sound right with the tempo slowed down, I think it would be better (maybe not exactly 140, 137 maybe) if it was a tad faster.

All in all, nice tune :)
