What I'm reading suggests that Barcelona can just terminate what ever illegal contracts they made and pay a fine instead, so it's not entirely the same as with chelsea, but there's at least ten counts compared with (maybe just one guy in) chelsea?

I get that, but you didn't see him play last night, right?.
I'm not sure anyone else had the ball in the second half.

True enough but English clubs have two European cups they wouldn't have if Bayern hadn't bottled it.

Would that happen to be the year we beat Bayern and won the Champions League.

Yep 1999 when Manchester United won it being the other time Bayern bottled it.

they have the most sound project in football history and the best coach and is only beaten two times a year by coincidence
like the two times you mention where it was entirely by chance

I tend not to think that things happen entirely by chance, not those kinds of things anyway

I would give you that in any other situation tbh.
Ofcourse there's Fergie time and everything, both Sheringham, Drogba and Solskjær had that resolve that can come into play in compromised situations, but it was overtime and not in direct play with what could be seen as straight bombardement. They showed a few clips yesterday and for example jancker had a overhead/bicycle kick ting hitting the crossbar inside the little box in the 80th minute.
im only on about bayern being a genuinely great club since losing to chelsea tbh
