Uptown forum was classic - Logan used to kill it on there. I remember uploading a clip of Venom, to which I had a very mixed reaction. I had to take the clip down and explain Slimzee had asked for it exclusive, at which point I was shot down by Logan who exclaimed Slimzee had never heard the tune before!!! He obviously had, he signed it to his record label a few weeks later and unfortunately for Logan, it was his job to call me on Slimzee's behalf and get me to send over the master files.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - bet logan did not like that at all!

I was in love with Garage from 1998 - i was 12 years old at the time all my pocket money would go on the £20 Garage Nation / Sun City & Sidewinder Tape Packs use to love blasting in on the brick Sony Walkman. Back then the classic / sick tapes use to be like gold dust was all about saying at school i've got this tape!!!

Around the age of 16 i bought a Sun City Limited Edition Tape back - included was a Heartless Crew live recording VHS tape of the night. At the age of 16 i had never been to a rave before -strictly bedroom skanking, had an image in my mind of how people danced, was shocked when i played the tape i thought do they really dance like this? Obvious they had it all wrong my moves were on lock!

M-Dubs feat Lady Saw - Bump n Grind - BIG BIG BIG TUNE! I swear Hatcha has got a dubstep version of this tune?

Slghtly off topic - East Village Radio Plasticman - Ft Skepta & Jammer

First time i ever heard Japan - it hit a nerve, gave me tingles and all of that. At the time i wasn't quite sure which genre to place it in. One of the first dubstep tracks i heard it made me take a closer look at the genre.

JME's Birthday Bash @ FWD - Classic FWD sets - One of my favourite Fwd Nights. You can feel the energy back listening back! You should all have them.

I have part of the Plastician Set - ft Sketpa & Godsgift

Maximum B2B Tubby - JME, Skepta, Jammer, Footsie & Frisco

Loefah set was big too!

yep!! i remember goin into big apple back in the day, asking hatcha for all the new bits and he'll give u a fat pile with a lil red tray with the needle in it for wen u go upstairs to have a listen. i remember always walking past the private listening booth and hearing whoever it was banging out music wishing i had the privalige to be handed the key to that door everytime i went to buy tunes! lol
Miss that shop alot, its ashame mixing records never let jon buy it back off them because if they did it would be a Dubstep shrine! beleive!!!

Back then i never used to make music, just started off djing.. bet hatcha never would have thought he would be working with me in couple years time!! crazy!

John wanted to travel and had other plans. He seems to have done some really amazing things since closing the shop and I am pretty sure he has no regrets!!

Oh yea will download that croydon dubstep night mp3 as well, looks heavy. Has anyone else been caning the Grime/ rephlex night mp3s since seckle uploaded them?!

I owe alot 2 hatch and big apple records, hatch gave me the very first fwd flyer and said 2 me in exact words ''this is the place u need 2 be hen, dubplates galore'' that changed my fucking life!
You don't have to be 18 to go to FWD still.

Also I remember this video from LOTM haha.

Fuck knows how long I've been into Dark garage (DND) and Grime it's been since 03... I'm 16 nearly 17 now so that makes it 10 or 11 :o fuck... being in Bradford though no going to Big Apple for me :(. Remember rocking the Boy Better Know T's when I was like 13 and all the hardmen in the bus station coming up and asking where it was from, being a 13 year old 5' skinny boy aswell.

Then got into dubstep via the JME & Skepta dubstep sets with plastician IIRC ? what year were they?
