My first DMZ, and I loved it. Mystikz and Loefah killed it, and my bass weight hopes and dreams were more than fufilled. The vibe was fucking incredible. Convinced a friend to come along even though he'd only heard Request Line, he's now a total convert. It's a pity I'm back up in Edinburgh, I'll have to fly down for the weekend to catch it again. I'll be reaching though, no doubt.

fuckin awesome tunes all night.. easily the most consistently wicked dubstep night i've been to. good to see it's picking up. hate to say it (because I live 10 min walk away and the i like the venue) but the next one's going to need a bigger venue..

How many people tried to get in after the doors closed? I thought even when it was at its most packed it was never uncomfortably rammed.

quick question.
I've never been to fwd or dmz <-- I hate this fact
and I was wondering how the majority of people dance to this stuff. In my head, dubstep is running at 140bpm, which encourages a hopping, halfstep type dance a bit like drum and bass.
every time i've played it locally though, people seem to think it runs at 70bpm, which at best gets a slowwww grind, and at worst a wall-hugging hoodie nod.
how does it go soundmen?

oh man, what a party! that was only my second dmz, the first being the previous one and it was sooooo much bigger and better.
met some cool people despite being a bit shit faced fairly early on.
andythetwig: yeah man, my first dmz was all swaying and bopping, slo mo style but this time it was a proper rave. lots of bouncing and jumping around when there was space and proper stepping when there wasn't.
loefah and mall killed it. but it was all about chef's last half hour for me. man was serving up a sick, minimal darkside selection

a DMZ cd pack would be cool... but it wouldn't get the vibe across. At all.
