I don't have one in particular but years ago I ran a night (a Tuesday nonetheless) at a club here in city and any time it was really dead was the worst. Spinning for at most one person is bad enough, but then to be there all night and get up for work the next morning got old quick.

ah yes i've done that one too! you spend half the month designing promo shit, going round town putting up posters, standing outside clubs handing out flyers at 5am on sunday mornings, and for what? so you can spend thursday night playing to an empty club, getting 4 hours sleep before work on friday and losing about half a week's wages in the process

From reading your story, I googled your name, listened to your EP on youtube, bought the stems and started working on a remix.. atleast something positive has come from your awful gigging experience

I was booked to play at a uni run night and the soundsystem sounded promising, so I set up and open with horror show and trust those subs could handle it well, sounded immense! i look up from the deck and the dancefloor is literally clearing out was like wtf.
There remained a handful of people dancing either because they liked the sounds or they were too fucked to care then one hotty comes up to the booth and signals me to come to her, I do and she asks if I have any lady ga ga.
I nearly slapped her right there and then but, instead heeded her request and played the southpark version of poker face off of my laptop. People hear it from outside and all of a sudden the dancefloor is filling up.
That was the only tune I had like it and the rest of my music was sublow so I resumed my normal set and once again cleared the dancefloor.

Only upside is it was a killer system and I got to hear my mixing on a set up unlikje any i've played on so at least I was vibing.

I blame the promoters for not advertising the night properly and I guess for not finding out what sort of style I played. Still they paid well so aint really as bad a gig as somne of the stuff i've read in here.

virtual dj crashed once when i was playing in a club, was a nightmare

Got asked to play at a club for a girl i know's 18th got paid £50 before i went on, was like fuck yes, slightly drunk in a good mood..

My mate brought 2000's and was on before me as i was headlining, he was on for about an hour n 45 minutes, finished his set around 11.30, big set too i was MC'ing for some of it haha,

got to my turn, everyone was hyped as was i, started my set played about 10 minutes of bangers, was about to drop subscape - screw up incoming from lost - metal foot.. the sounds just completely cut out, "i grew up a fuckin screw up" came out my headphones as did the rest of the tune, everyone looked at me like what the fuck, i was confused and bricking it thinking ive done something wrong, then get told that the venue was scheduled to shut at 12.

i was meant to play till 1am

poor girl payed me aswell, wanted to do what i came to do!

Playing at a gig near me. Ten mins into my set had a girl request "In for the Kill and wheres my money" After politley telling her I did not have them she then proceeded to tell me
