You should try a homegrown tomato instead of the ones from the shop.

I don't like fresh tomatoes much. Not sure why, probably just the texture and taste. Cooked tomatoes, bolognese sauce, soup, sundried tomatoes are ok.

Ketchup is evil.

Cooked onions are the shit, especially fried or roasted.

Shallots have much winning potential too.

Tomatoes raw are foul. As soon as their cooked then I love them.

Same with onions, I do like them raw but they give you bad breath for days. Cooked onions are deelish.

All about the Dopiaza, which means Double Onion for those that don't know.

People who don't like onions are not to be trusted.

It disturbs me that people can go through life eating the same shit everyday. The world is out larder, everything must be tried at least once imo (or more in my case, it took me three goes before i decided i liked Durian)
I know a girl who only eats Tom Yum Goong. Breakfast lunch and dinner for the last 2 years. :o :o

I just ate some boiled leeks w/sea salt...sooo good

Most people who hate tomatos - don't actually hate tomatos
They hate bad tomatos - mushy, overripe tomatos...go for the firm romas

raw celery is actually - the nastiest food on the planet

tastes like licorice - who puts peanut butter on licorice tries to represent like it's good

aye, that's the one. fair enough, adapting your palate to enjoy foods from the other end of the globe might be hard initially but you work your way around it. people that can't even get their head around local produce 'cause they simply refuse to try need a slap.

that's the problem with processed foods and all the other frozen prepackaged shite you buy: it has no real flavour or texture. it's all chemically treated slop designed to appeal to untrained tastebuds & that's why people get stuck in a rut of only being able to eat like fucking chicken nuggets and baked beans. they prefer the sweet taste of gloopy tomato sauces compared to the natural sugars in, say, raw carrot. it's a fucking travesty if you ask me!

i also see the irony of a glaswegian talking about healthy eating in a roundabout way.
