I don't understand how any of you can say 'he's not THAT bad' or 'not the worst producer'

Sierra Leone is the 'noisiest', completely atonal, most badly mixed piece of shit i've ever heard, it's not 'easy listening', it's like fingernails on a chalkboard. The 'snare' is like sandpaper on my eardrums. I simply cannot understand how anyone can like it, I don't want to believe that many people are completely tone-deaf...

he aint that popular over here bruv, cuz i never heard of the fool before today. checked sierra leon, wow, just a god awful mix, almost unlistenable. the comments about people liking mt eden better than burial are laughable. opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and most of them stink. my opinion, mt eden stinks.

You know you've made it when people claim you're ruining dubstep.

says the person who casually rolls off a few of Burials most popular tunes whilst sitting there thinking how much he knows about what everyone else listens to and their mentality towards it. . . hmmmmm what were those last three words i quoted?

It was actually a 'couple' not a 'few'.. and I don't think I know more than everyone else.. I know what I know.. i've listened to a majority of Burial's work . Some I like, some I don't.. I quoted those two tunes simply because (like you said) they are his most popular tunes. But it's true.. People go on like they own the fucking scene just coz they were there at the beginning or know about Burial. Loada bollox. Enjoy the music you like, and shut the fuck up about the stuff you don't like. The more you moan, the more popular the people you dislike become.
I'm not elitist, i'm not pompus and i'm sure as hell not a prick. Get off your e-horse.

Mt Eden may come under the heading of 'dubstep' but it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the 'dubstep' I and many others on this forum enjoy (Mount Kimbie, Silkie, Skream, Darkstar...). Some of my best friends love trance, go all the Godskitchen nights etc etc but I don't question their taste, or ask them why they don't listen to stuff I like, I say each to their own. And they are the same to me. Remember, it's music. It's subjective. Chill the fuck out.
