this is what is making me laugh at the moment loads of dnb producers (eg sparx) move on to dubstep because they dont like jump up dnb or the way which drum and bass was goin but now the exact same thing is happening in dubstep, i like a bit of everything including rob sparx, funtcase and bare nozie not so much doctor p but this is obviously what the masses like more or people like funtcase and doctor p wouldnt have just got this big overnight

Zomby should be booked for a gig and then actually show up. That'd be the best April Fools joke ever.

Because they were innovators and still support the many different styles of dubstep without having a fucking crying session because they don't like what its doing to "our" scene.

Truth has been spoken...

The jump-up stuff is still music obviously, and it has its certain qualities but I have no doubt that this type of dubstep will, in the future be looked over simply because its the most generic. What I don't understand is why anyone would want to make music that sounds so similar to something that has been done 100 times before, I think trying to be original has to be the most important thing when making music. :u:

jump up is getting boring..........

tbh u got to respect this rob sparx geeza for saying what he thinks and naming names. cos lets face it, most people on here / in this scene are usually aspiring dj's or producers themselves and r too scared to come across as a "hater" for fear of alienating them selves.

2010 predicitons - producers start making tracks with 16 bar spoken word style rants in the intro, talking about what stnuc they think other producers r etc, i actually think thatd be amazing.

No, but if you look at the flyers for past events, you'll see the variety of sub genres represented is massive. That was my point. They cover all bases without being "exclusive" and sticking to one sub-genre. Please, if I'm wrong, tell me how?

It's the way dubstep is progressing. All well and fair for your opinion if you think about how much dubstep has changed... I've been into dubstep for about three years, not as long as most people, but I listen to both old and new types of dubstep. Of course you favour particular types, but I find myself intrigued by what producers are coming up with these days. Artists like Funtcase and Bare Noize, Borgore who I think you're relating to with your thread starter have produced some really complex, filthy stuff - of course it's nothing like early dubstep - but it's music which you can really feel. I get fucking psyched when I listen to a tune from these boys... times have moved on... It's good for the genre to be honest.
