@ GRAFTEK
like that west coastin vibe u got on it. part writing seems solid, and production is all fresh. points for consideration:
the part playing the arpeggios under the main dre style pfunk whistle sound like theyre plucked, and i think a softer attack sound (more a piano style attack) would help the texture to gel a bit better. also i'd love to hear u crust up ur drums a bit, mayb with a bit of a phatter snare hit. u could layer up another round of hihats over the top mayb with a slightly more live feel to the samples. i'd use a solid repetitive pattern just to give it a bit more drive and get things rolling on the dancefloor.
nice one!

mesc wrote:@ HAACK - I'm really feeling this man you have a nice deep flow going on. I like the High Hats but they could be a little more crispy. I think it would be cool if they had a bit of grit that lingered around after each hit. I do feel like you're missing an element from the track that makes it seem likes it's lacking. Maybe a few more bleeps, bloops, and donks could do it? I think it would sound good if you found another light lead type sound that could sit in the back of the mix as well. I look forward to hearing the track when it's finished.
Solid, really appreciate the feedback, will work into this, after having a fresh listen from days rest, I've got a few ideas.

Thanks again.

Fit sound! Eq on the low/hi mid just a few dB juss to clean up the frequencies, second bit after "oh shit" would definitely love to hear shuffle on the hihats/new sequence! I would even cut low freq on the kick and add a massive sub in there to fill out the sound otherwise keep updating.

Missin highs, bass sounds full, kick could come out more perhaps ease up on sidechain>?, Bring that snare and hihat to the forefront.

Alright so added the final section to this tune, now I need to add intro/break/outro. EQ'd again were necessary so certain elements would benefit from masking. Also increased a few db on the highs to bnring out crispiness, but not sure if this is noticeable, thanks again.

Thats sick man, dark and deep dubstep - i like! The beat keeps your head bobbing and the hats are nicely shuffled. perhaps the wub could do with being a little higher in the mix though...

@Ltuk:
solid work on the second track. nice idea and athmosphere... still, for my opinion it misses creativity and something personal...
too standart somehow (kick--snare-kick--snare) might do a bit of work on the drum pattern to make it a bit more itneresting...

didn't hear it on my monitors yet, so i won't say too much.

Like the tune so far :) Cool sample in the intro. The mix seems good, although personally i wouldn't pan the wobble.
You could add some more to the beat to give it some more detail. Maybe some more lfo modulation. I don't know.

Anyway, I have a small question for all of you. I mainly produce dubstep, but i've just begun working on a DnB track. It's still a work-in-progress, and I would like some feedback. I checked dnbforum, but they don't have a thread for works-in-progress. I just wondered, is it inappropriate to post DnB in this forum?

EDIT: Or well, forget it. I guess it should just be dubstep ;)

Bring the wobble to the front instead of hangin it far left, shuffle yor hats, and EQ, sounds a bit muddy/missing frequency content.

love it, this is sounding really good. I'd say bring up the high end on that guitar sample to bring out the acousticy vibes, that and as you said sort the levels out.
How does I wobbled bass?
