i personally think that in the context it is groundbreaking
but besides that point, i guess the question is why bother shouting about how its not groundbreaking? people have their own musical journeys to travel, everyone listens with a different ear, so live and let live is what im trying to say nowadays

I'm more or less the same way, you'd be hard pressed to find posts by me on here slating tunes. However a little criticism can be fine, it can't be fluffy bunnies all the time...

i understand the sentiment, but loads of great tracks are simple to engineer. Listen to Loefah - Scanners. It's heavy as fuck but listen to it, it's just a well chosen selection of samples in a great arrangement. Getting it to flow and groove just right is the tricky bit imo.
Same with this skream track, its not hard to make that sound, and neither is the beat particularly complex, but together it sounds pretty damn good.
the devil is in the details....

And also the fact that in this scene, there is absolutely NOTHING that sounds like it.

Can't get it to work, stupid real player plugin, is the show/track up anywhere else? I'm eager as a beaver to hear this track that everyone is raving about.

Wonnnnnnky Robot!!
Anyone not feeling this one has got no right to say 'I used to listen to his first tunes' when Skream's scoring Hollywood movies.

I really liked it. And coming from someone that hasn't really been feeling Skream's stuff before (I know, ever the contrary bastard).
The technique issue's bullshit to me - it's the end not the means innit

I wasn't trying to get technical..
Everyone's entitled to their opinion whether they like a track or not..
And i'm all for criticism, providing its constructive.. (Personally makes me try harder)
You're never gonna please everyone anyway
It's just i thought the fella was implying that Skream just put a loop
through an arpeggiator, when in fact the track is much more complicated
than that..
...listen to it the whole way through when you get the chance..
fuckin sick!
(IMO!!)

Sorry man, wasn't meant at you personally, just the tone of the thread. Agreed on the sickness though.
