I def think there needs to be more MCs and less rappers with dubstep.

nuff grime "mcs" are just rappers..

wots the difference?

rappers don't know when to shut up .. constantly trying to be the focal point.

mcs add an extra level to the sound.. are there to support the DJ and the music.. and to keep the energy up.

I think Skepta is good and that Wiley/Kode 9 set is biggle. Think it can be a good thing once in a while.

Wise words from someone I definitely consider to be in the 'good MC' category.

distinction wrote ;If Grime MCs start getting on Dubstep whose to say the attitude and fronts they bring wont start bringing that sort of audience to Dubstep raves? Which would result in Dubstep not been able to get any venues for dances as club owners dont want a bad reutation at their clubs, this is what exactly happened with Grime. Also I remember when Dubstep was first submerging and certain Grime heads were quick to dismiss the sounds and now it seems they are supporting it?
BRAP!!
and no way is Wiley bein warish over anti war dub a good idea

... this spins me out. How come its alright for say Sgt.Pokes to use overt and blatent militaristic imagery in his shit ( I ain't knocking, his toasting on Loefahs B.B. set sends chills up my spine every time ) but grime MCs are not cool cos they're constantly slewing ?

... anti-wardub seems to me to be the odd one out, as militancy and the associated iconography seem to be inherant in both scenes ...

from where I'm sitting grime seems to have become a victim of its own rhetoric while not being able to maintain a consistant level of "good-sportsmanship" with clashes on radio turning into war on road ...

militaristic imagery a bit different from 'god 4give if me if i cock my 9' etc. i've never seen a crowd kick off becos pokes chatted his 'dubstep souljah' biznis. like a previous post said, i've never even seen a screwface at dmz let alone potential trouble...
