As a resident n00b on this forum who was first turned on to dubstep less than a year ago by a Borgore Mixtape, I think my perspective on this issue could be interesting for you kids here who have been listening to the genre for close to forever:
Basically, its frustrating to see how the older members on this forum show such a blatant disregard for listeners of the newer stuff. Granted, I too have become very tired of quite a number of the "grimy as fuck" producers, but attempting to cordon off the older tunes completely from the newer stuff is just a bad idea. For one thing, it alienates newer listeners who are genuinely excited about this new sound they have discovered, whether through a friend or aimless browsing of the internet, and makes them feel as though their taste and appreciation of the genre, however limited their exposure may be, is for lack of a better word, trash. This breeds a sense of frustration and bitterness at the "heads who remember" and "their" variety of dubstep. This scenario creates even more problems because the newer listeners will ignore the old tracks and producers that you guys like so much, causing a die-off of appreciators of the older stuff and thereby completely killing the genre.
All I am saying is that you guys dont have to like the wobble-tastic grimy tracks, but you should tolerate them because without them, I and a large number of members of this forum probably wouldn't have discovered the music that you all appreciate. And sure, its frustrating to see people disregard your genre of music, but many people simply don't treat music the same way you guys do. To them it's a novelty, and therefore their opinion doesn't really matter.
Anyways, thats my two cents.
This is not what we want: GET IT HES NOT INCLUDED!!!111!!!

I like when they're retarded more than when they're political.
Something about that obnoxious nasally voice should only be applied to being retarded.

This what you had in mind?
The political stuff is so simplistic is pisses me off. Whatever, it sells, and thats all that matters. I think they have sold the most records for an independent act ever(like 4 million). Too lazy to check wikipedia though.
