2x 1210 mk5s
1x djm800
1x serato sl3
1x mac laptop (ok it would only be mac book not mac book pro)
see how well u could spend £3500!!!
it would be waste to buy 2 ipads to mix on anyway coz u can only use 1 at a time for everything else apart from i dj app or whatever its called!!
I saw this vid a little while ago too, surprised it hadn't showed up here sooner regarding her questionable mention of dubstep and what not. Your comment about the guy in the background made me laugh.. I don't remember the bit about 124.4bpm but again manyWatchYourStep wrote:I first saw this video back when it had like 10,000 viewsRAGE
RAGE HOW DO THESE GD VIDEOS GET SO MANY GD VIEWS
RAGE
Begin listing fails:
- 1- She makes a video to show the world her brand new ipad dj setup and she runs the sound through what, sorry? Her LAPTOP SPEAKERS??
2- Everything about her mannerisms and the way she talks bugs the motherloving crap out of me
3- It takes her so many words words words words words words words to get her point across
4- That guy in the background. Just seems like a big loser to me. Probably her boyfriend, knowing this world we live in
5- The cameraman's laugh at 5:48
6- Her ludicrously laughable comment about knowing 124.4bpm by ear
7- She's way more famous at this moment that I probably will ever be
Exactly!!grillis wrote:I found it funny when she rapidly dropped the bpm.. wouldn't the crowd be like wtf??
more than a 2-3 bpm change and most people will notice it.grillis wrote:I found it funny when she rapidly dropped the bpm.. wouldn't the crowd be like wtf??
Especially if you know a 124.4bpm off by heartdrlego wrote:more than a 2-3 bpm change and most people will notice it.grillis wrote:I found it funny when she rapidly dropped the bpm.. wouldn't the crowd be like wtf??
even small ones at the wrong times will be noticed.
its that 0.4 thats the killer. You know it shouldnt be there. Really its not there. Its almost like a drummer swinging a drum stick but missing the drum.grillis wrote:Especially if you know a 124.4bpm off by heartdrlego wrote:more than a 2-3 bpm change and most people will notice it.grillis wrote:I found it funny when she rapidly dropped the bpm.. wouldn't the crowd be like wtf??

its weak but traktor or virtual dj with a cheap controller or something, thats for begginers and shit.. not 2 £500 ipadsELLFIVEDEE wrote:She says something about this being the cheapest way to experiment with DJing?
Whatever happened to buying some gypo turntables and borrowing some records?
Apple never intended to sell iPads as DJing devices. So that's not entirely fair. I use DJ Headphones as wellluthervandub wrote:as soon as an apple product is involved its never going to be cheap
especially brand new apple products

"... you've got a cross fader, so you can switch between this iPad, that iPad... and then put them in the middle and hear both beats together, which is something that I've been doing a lot lately"
What a visionary! I'm surprised DJ's didn't come up with that blatantly rudimentary concept decades ago.
LOL at how shes got the audio going into the interface. A stereo RCA to 1/4 jack line-level output from the mixer into a mono-microphone pre-amp. All while there are perfectly good stereo pair line level inputs on the back of the unit.
"I'm running logic" while there camera zooms in on a laptop that clearly is running Ableton.
AKA basically works for Apple.Rana Sobhany woke up at 5:30am to pre-order her iPad on March 12th, and got in line to pick it up at 2am on April 3rd.
She's been playing music in some form or another since she was 6 and if she could only pick one item to take with her to a deserted island, it would be her iPad.
She is author of Mobilize! Marketing Mobile Content in an iPhone and iPad Era and blogs at iPhoneEra.com.
how the hell did you last 2 minutes??? I was wanting to find her and hurt her after about 50 seconds and when she mentioned using the "cue" feature to check if something that is "risky" sounds right i physically couldn't carry on watching. cause mixing Dubstep and Breakbeat is really risky, no one has ever done that before... oh wait a sec....Preacha wrote:2 minutes in and i want to stab her
