It's more about just being straight up honest. I can see why someone would gloat about robbing a bank. Despite it being a lowlife thing to do, it's still quite a feat to accomplish. Whereas when people admit to using cracked software, it's just that, it's not an accomplishment people gloat about. It's also a 'bad thing to do', but they don't sugarcoat it, they're just being honest and upfront.

Then there's also the 'everybody's doing it' thing, which doesn't make it OK by any means, but it's such a common practice that it no longer raises any eyebrows.

Anyway. People pirate software and music. It's bad, but it happens and nothing's gonna change that any time soon and no one's gonna change anyone's mind. Best leave it up to the people who write the software to worry about it and just get back to your own software and write some tunes.

i agree, but people need to understand there are forums and such to talk about the stuff (like where you get it from) and discussing pirating software, warez, and openly discussing and being a how to forum for it puts the owners of the forum in a liability situation. if this shit was hosted in russia or something it'd be fair game. hell i have an old ed rush and optical plate that the etching says thank you h2o
some things are just best left in the underground or in private discussion and not aired in public

Also I dont think its a good thing because "at least I" seem to spend more time and effort learning and using it when I know I have spent a heap of cash. lol Also my daw seems to run a lot more stable!
