Footcrab is overplayed more than sweetshop, and it's more repetative.

Flux Remix does smash it.

Kinda thought after the piano stuff it was gonna drop like sweet shop but it kinda went a different way.
Anyone not heard that bass-line in 1000 other songs? I don't know which I'd rather have to take, the boredom of listening to this track or the pain in my ears listening to sweet shop.

Yeah, not a fan of Doctor P or this style at all really. I find a lot of people are easily impressed.

I think sweet shop was a banger and was fairly original when first released however I agree that the remixes of the caspa tunes are shit and that doctor p to release somthing different if he wants to continue to be respected as a producer.

Speak for yourself bucko. Who you playin records for ? A bunch of nuns @ the local church ? Chainsaw Calligraphy is not only hard to spell, it fuggin smashes all dancefloors. Key is, you must play it loud. Make the little kiddies run away with horror. Then you've done your job well. Got it ?
if i were to come up with a mission statement for dubstep, it surely wouldn't be along the lines of 'making an effort to scare people.' this is the same garbage that went on with american dnb. leave the skulls and camo logos at home and focus on dubstep as an art, not a way to show how much testosterone you have. unless you're looking to exclusively pick up men, then go right ahead.

but when a girl is at a dubstep night and that's the only option, watch when there's tearout midrange stuff, and then watch when there's deeper, more emotive, soulful dubstep. i've noticed that some girls will dance to anything, but i've definitely noticed more girls on the floor for the latter. same for dnb, the ladies in houston LOVE liquid funk as opposed to renegade hardware stuff.

personally, i appreciate all sides of the dubstep spectrum... modifying your tastes to fit better with what the ladies are on about is stupid. like what feels good, fuck the haters.... if a girl doesn't sleep with you, its most likely cause she thinks you suck, not just because you like some screwface  im married so maybe i just dont give a damn about the ladies anymore...

i'm definitely not saying people should dislike this end of dubstep because ladies don't like it, but it's really very alienating and it just doesn't fit within my definition of "dubstep"

remember when this music was supposed to reflect the urban landscapes of the inner cities? where did that atmosphere go...

Yeah I agree. It should have an atmosphere to it. It's not just the Dr P side of things that neglects this though. So much of the whole "deep" stuff is just starting to sound like wank techno that should be on laser eye surgery adverts. It also lacks the dark dank atmosphere that drew me to dubstep in the first place. Deep shit is better when it's heavy and deep.

and "ladies like liquid not renegade hardware stuff". So fucking what. The Renegade Hardware stuff is still better. Don't modify your taste to get laid. That's fucking lame.

I don't know, looping a vocal over and over stock 808 hits is pretty silly to me...
