No one kinda think that most producers are probably grateful for having their vibes splattered around and spread? Especially the masses of "I don't make music for the money" crew
Seems strange to think of dubstep artists spitting out the dummy

Depends, it can be an honor - depends who posts it really. If I made a tune I wouldn't want it on the UKF or Inspector Dubplate pages purely because they push stuff I'm not interested in, I'd aim for something more 'awake' such as Fact Magazine.BLAHBLAHJAH wrote:No one kinda think that most producers are probably grateful for having their vibes splattered around and spread? But if you've just made a tune that you want to keep exclusive for raves (DMZ vs MZN, Distance Falling, Changes Remix etc) then it kinda makes the tune lose it's, dunno the word, but, um, it loses a bit of magic and it's not as special anymore when some tunes can be accessed 24/7.
All depends on the tune I guess and whether someone cares a great deal about the music.

what? it is about shady things if you're quoting Youtube's copyright policy...! im not sure what you mean... UKF gets their tunes from labels and artists, so why is what he's doing a bad thing? you quoted the policy as if you knew something that the channel had done wrong. just wondering.ashley wrote:It's not about shady things, but just because things are free on the internet, doesn't mean people have a right to re-distribute them or share them elsewhere.knell wrote:hmm? does UKF infringe? have they been warned? i've talked to the uploader on AIM and he's a polite and all-around cool guy, cant imagine him doing shady things.ashley wrote:I wonder if UKF Music will be deleted next.

When things become a great size, that's when they get noticed more.knell wrote:what? it is about shady things if you're quoting Youtube's copyright policy...! im not sure what you mean... Some suit in an office somewhere that shuffles paper all day will have a problem with something on there and it will happen. It's just a matter of time and when.
On ours, we posted up the 'I need Air' song with a picture of magnetic man, Columbia contacted us asking for us to take it down and post the official video instead.
We have 1/10th of the subscribers as these channels and yet someone still noticed.

Labels give ID/UKF Tunes . They aren't randomly posting tunes they downloaded off the net.
Inspectors channel is a tool most of us on that half of the spectrum use to debut tracks/hype releases because we know before the week is out it will have 20k listens and if the tune is hype could see tens of thousands more.
That, and if anyone needs something down, he's easy to get ahold of.
I mentioned on our facebook page, only thing I could think of is maybe one of the bootleg remixes maybe upsetting someone? I dunno

Re: Inspector Dubplate's Youtube Account Suspended?
Inspector Dubplate used to rip tunes off of peoples myspace/and or through other means and put them in his minimixes without permission (the old videos with the white notepad and tracklist for the actual video).
That's the only issue I have against the guy, whether he still does it is a different story.

yeah fairly certain thats in the distant past and those were removed when he got a name about himself. He approached us and every other label I'm aware of doing previews through him.
Though I have had something fucked up happen on youtube back when we were operating our old channel where someone claiming to be our label got our channel shut down saying they owned Mindsaw and had some random persons name in the copyright claim. Had to fax youtube our ID to unlock it.
Also remember Moving Shadow allowing people to post bits for use on interview sites and what not and when their big youtube shitstorm hit they got legit press channels shut down
