Re: So your a Producer and you think you're better than....
I absolutely promise you, if you don't promote yourself, or find someone with 100% faith in your music with contacts and personality then you will go nowhere. Promotion is more the music game than anything else, even the music comes second to being able to promote yourself effectively when it comes to career stuff. This is why there's so much shit music out there, the money comes from the promotion, not the music itself.
The key is, which far too many people I love have failed, don't believe the hype. A release or two, your mates saying your shit is hot or a few radio plays don't make you a star or any good at what you do. Have faith in yourself, but be realistic.
I have always veered away from artist management, I don't think the direction I would go in to be valuable to a manager is where I want to be (right now at least), I like making unmarketable emo stuff. But in relation to people considering taking up the OP, just be aware of who it is you're getting involved with. If it's just a couple of djs on net stations then cool, get your shit to them and get as many people playing your beats as possible. If they want to be your public face, your manager/promo team, then you need to make sure they compliment your style, they're not making empty promises or just promoting you the wrong way. RESEARCH!

So if we send you guys some tunes we get to meet Kode 9 and become Burial?
Sounds good...
Really though, If I actually made any music I'd probably give these guys a chance

Worth a shot, I fired off a couple of tunes, never miss an opportunity, nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.
Re: So your a Producer and you think you're better than....
Most producers I know have an inferiority complex. No one has the egotistical "big I am" (Rusko aside
). That's why it's never a case of sitting down and listening to your own tunes and thinking "Yeah, that's amazing". I've never done that and I probably never will, I'm just too insecure about my own production skills. I made a thread months back when someone basically called a track of mine "shit". That was one of the most valuable lessons I've learnt as a producer yet-constructive criticism is VITAL to the development of peoples' skills. It doesn't come from yourself. Maybe people DO listen to their own tracks and think "this is amazing", but other peoples' input is vital. Only then when you've heard from the horses' mouth aka other producers can you know it's amazing.

I joke of course, stay up hustlers.
iiiiin your (rather narrow minded) opinion..........
My real question, rub-a-dub, is WHO is this artist then? you've named people they are on some sort of roster with, can you not name the actual artist too? maybe it'd be good to get this artist to say a few words about your service too?
