Well Lee Uhf, at least you know what you're talking about and can explain how you acquired your taste for certain stretches of the sound. We can all respect that I think. Most users more into 'filth' et al just call anything that doesn't have midrange weak or slow or boring.
Early Ramadanman has some techno influences though, look out for his track on tempa (It's called 'Bidding War').

Why not a category "best free track of the year"? We'd all be in the run, that'd be fun I think!

Results are alright, I quite like Flux Pavillion, an I think Ramadanman deserves it, for his whole carrier!

lee uhf wrote:Another big reason Im guessing is I come from a hardcore /techno background scene where I have produced and dj'd for a long long time so I get more excited about raw ferocious beats more than anything in other genre's

Plus The big mid-range stuff has lots of exposure in Birmingham where I live now. More so than any other Dubstep sound.
Lee, Ramadanman, along with Ben Ufo and Pangaea (Hessle Audio), are playing at the Hare & Hounds (Kings heath) on 25th of March.

Go check it out, will be fucking immense, trust me.

The biggest problem with Brum is that not enough people have heard of artists like this imo.
