But didn't Loefah say that he didn't want to release any of his own tunes anymore and that he was a bit done with Dubstep?

I kind of get the impression Loefah isn't really under the DMZ/Digital Mystikz moniker in quite the same way anymore. Can see him putting out anything like the old DMZ plates again. Off on different projects now maybe. Does he even play dubstep when he DJs these days? Last few times I've seen him its been different vibes

No I think he doesn't anymore. I once heard him say that he isn't really into that kind of Dubstep anymore because it slows down the dance or something.
That's why I"m not sure about him doing the next DMZ release.

He plays dubstep in loads of his sets these days, depends on the night really. I think the only full dubstep set he's played in recent was at Outlook, but occasionally he'll sneak in goat stare or some old skream dubs towards the end of a set

I'd like to have the I Wait VIP. I think it's called that anyway. That would be marvellous.

Am I mad in remembering that in an interview Loefah said he wanted a release out on DMZ by the end of the year?

Loefah the producer is still working! I hope to have released on DMZ by the end of 2011. I ’m not planning to release on swamp myself. I ’d like to keep the two separate.

And I can't see him releasing house-y stuff on DMZ (though I could obviously be wrong).

No no, it's true, he indeed said that. But I remember that a little while after that ^ interview he did an audio interview, for a radiostation or something, in which he said the complete opposite.
Something along the lines of that he wasn't feeling like releasing any of his own work anymore and that he wanted to fully focus on his label.

Of course I hope that hes still planning on releasing on DMZ this year, I just don't know what to believe anymore.

obviously everyone wants their 2 fav mala/loefah/coki dubs put out,but for me the amazing thing is whatever does come out will be guaranteed to be BIG,and im sure the vast majority of people will be happy that whatever the decide to put out actually did come out

Yeah he definitely still does. Played glasgow in May and while majority of his set was Swamp81, he started dropping old DMZ bits like Goat Stare & Root for the last 20 mins or so. And even more recently he played a Swamp81 & DMZ set edinburgh.

On top of all the Loefah tunes listed above, personally I'd jizz if Memory Loss got a release. But I seem to recall hearing it never even got finished.

memory loss is a tune and a half

On the Mala side of things, Jah Power, Drunken Swagger or City Cycle are the ones. Tombstone too. It's too hard, man has so many phenomenal dubs.

Also, Coki's Light One don't get nearly enough chat. Serious tune
