according to deadly habit, you can use a compressor or something to compensate for a crappy cellphone microphone.

i never said shit about a cellphone mic
and it's general mic advice for non vocal booths
ie: my narration of this video i used said techniques and one of these mics http://www.karmamics.com/shop/K-Micro-Matched-Pair.html as i didn't feel like setting up my better condensers and reflection filer for quick and dirty overdub work
without the expander on you'd prolly here ambient room noise like computer fans etc as it's a sensitive mic
i can do a before with raw recording and along the signal chain clip later on after i grab a shower and brew some coffee

Right, I'm gonna edit the first post of this now declaring this thing officially on the road plus some slight modifications to the 'rule' section.
EDIT: There is no way that's how you speak deadly!! You sound so much less jaded than I imagined XD

By the way deadly, seeings as you're doing commentaries now I don't suppose you're a Machinima fan too are you?

somewhat if they're well done
the funny thing is i've racked up at least 15-20 new subscribers just off that commentary alone
i went light with the expander so you could still here some noise, but enough to demonstrate the effect

Oh, I meant the company rather than the type of videos.
Probably too geeky even for this forum...
EDIT: Deadly that was amazing XD

wait will it matter if the vocals are fast or slow but with meaning? because I know the UK and US rap scene are entirely different....

doesn't matter just 64 bars
if i'm not mistaken
whats our time line
wondering if i'll have a chance to take a crack at it, cuz tbh i fancy myself a vocalist not rly a producer at this point
