Yeah my favourite.

The gig yesterday was okay. Nurse with Wound were a bit over the top for my taste, I guess their performance fitted the venue in some way, though (Koko)
Sunn was good, as usual, nice massage for my intestines - big up for not chocking on the mike in all that smoke. The audience was fun to watch, too.
My mum, on the other hand, loved it. All. I think she was more into it than us, haha. Wonder what's next, Merzbow?

They can be a little boring for me, sometimes. I really don't rate The bee's made honey... nearly as highly as other people did.

pony. I was thoroughly disappointed. Of course, everyone in the queue for the shitter before Sunn was wanking over it.
Thought Stapleton would've given it a it more effort, sounded like a lazy collection of 'weird sounds', no flow.

I'm obviously all for noise and minimal, but it has to have something though.
Great example, guy doing soundcheck before Sunn, plays one chord, some people in the crowd think they're starting 'YEAHHHHH!! *Holding up hands, satanic gestures*', dude leaves stage
come on guize

They also had a guy reciting in a very theatrical way, using pretentious vocabulary to dress up bunch of bollocks into fancy words. Also, too much wanking on the guitar... Expected much better

That would be great I imagine.
For me though shroomless my experiences with The bees made honey... is that it sounds like what Ennio Morricone's western soundtracks would be like if he'd grown up listening to Sabbath while getting fucked up and playing in a band.
My favourite Earth track I think might just be The Dire And Ever Circling Wolves though.

If you can make it through it Harvey Milk's Courtesy And Goodwill To Men is one of the best albums ever. Really weird. varies between doing the same noisy thing for unbearable amounts of time to like beautiful melodic sections to full on metal bits. Even has a Leonard Cohen cover.
Their other albums probably won't appeal as much as they aren't so weird but if that album is too much or you want something similar but a little less full on "my love is higher than your assessment of what my love could be" is the closest they did.
In fact this track is probably a good gauge as to whether you'll like that stuff at all.

check out my mates' band Bong:
Like Sleep but more less technical and more bong orientated. This track is recorded live from one of their Roadburn appearances.
