I was referring to faith, you are referring to my character. Both of which have no solid place to stand behind, but i could very well create some sort of label that i could believe is true of you, but there's no point, because its not valid.

Ah cheers I've been looking for stuff like this, along with the confirmation bias these cause a fair few problems
Yeah, the "appeal to" ones are classic debate tactics and fallacies. This is why I don't understand why people get so hung up and absorbed on infowars. He's the textbook example of debate fallacies. Getting people so worked up emotionally that they start believing in hot air.
Sounds like how the Daily Mail sells papers. Also, if you look at hard data you can see our (not so) honourable leader Mr 'Dave' Cameron is a load of hot himself (he is a PR man more than a politician, after all) as as much as he talks about cutting state spending it's higher than this time last year as the government can't actually cut any more without causing another recession yet people still believe him - even though what he talks of cutting wouldn't be enough to shrink the deficit anyway
Re: Illuminati- The Music Industry Exposed [Full Length]
Can you make a thread about this and have it stickied?

Illuminati aside, do you feel there is a form of corruption that goes on within your industry?
i'm not going to endanger my job by speaking negatively about my employer, but what i can say is that there are definitely techniques and strategies that go into the marketing of artists, and absolutely none of them involve trying to put goat heads and symbols in music videos as a nod to some secret society.

Although a lot of conspiracy branded stuff is indeed often self projected and reinforced by others susceptible to it, it doesnt mean that you can instantly dismiss the validity of a lot of the 'bad' stuff that is happening and is being covered up and labeled as conspiracy.
It's way too easy for people to just reach for the 'delusional' stamp 'if someone mentions anything conspiracy related. Just cos a lot of people seem paranoid, doesn't mean they don't have reason to be. even if the logic that got them there is misplaced. in some cases, but not all, dedicating large ammounts of time into researching and reinforcing the anti conspiracy route is exactly the same kind of distraction conspiracy theorist is hunting.
Either way, i think both the people engulfed in conspiracy, and the people that swear blindly that 'its all in your head, man' should spend their energy more effetcively, and gain a better perspective on the appalling things that happen virtually right in front us, every day.
It's odd (maybe not) how conspiracy gains more popularity than the clear injustices that exist pretty much unclouded.
What are we gonna do about it though?.. Talk about it on the internet some more and try to validate our own opinions and hope it all works out
p.s. - oh and no i didn't watch the video
Re: Illuminati- The Music Industry Exposed [Full Length]
the real conspiracy is why that list was taken off of wikipedia, where i initially saw it... thank goodness that blog cached it.
but why did it get deleted....

You would say that, since you're one of them.

Because conspiracy nuts would rather persuade themselves they're fighting some pivotal war on the internet by "educating" and spouting their bullshit to other receptive idiots, and because doing so is easier than joining say, the Peace Corps and actually doing something to help people in need.

edit: nevermind, don't even need to do that, just go to the wiki page directly, and the article log will tell you that it's deleted, and has been deleted three times in its history...
who is this Zscout370? i would like to have a word with him

Yeah there is, it's gotten pretty messy. There's a crazy thread somewhere on abovetopsecret about wikipedia suppressing info.
Oh I believed you knell, I was just joking. I also edited that post 3 times to change it up in the spirit of wiki, but the forum only logged 1 edit I guess : (
