It's a crime that's it's illegal, not that people use it. Gotta put that on a t-shirt or something.

80% of the friends I allow in my place (one bedroom flat that just happens to be shit) are artists of some sort, and love the fact i am doing something for them. I had the chance to try it several months ago but didn't break through. It was pretty fun though.FluidMoShun wrote:I like DMT a bunchYour opinions?

Loved it. My kind of trip. Nothing to make a habit of, though, no point in that.FluidMoShun wrote:I like DMT a bunchYour opinions?
Haha I don't know about that, acid is fun, but I think a lot of people would hate it and become bitter at the world. These fools don't know, theyre just squares that are too uptight to have fun. Not to mention certain people are at risk for schizophrenia or hppd from it.SunkLo wrote:GO EAT ACID. There, I said it. The world would be a much better place if everyone did. haha i couldn't think of anything worse! and i tryed havin a bash at a track after a couple of tabs once, couldnt get into it at all and wondered off after about 5 mins.Manic Harmonic wrote:Haha I don't know about that, acid is fun, but I think a lot of people would hate it and become bitter at the world. Anyway... I produce on salvia. Not really. But I do produce a lot of saliva when im making music.
These days I stick to caffiene and nicotine. Nothing else did me a![]()
ny good music wise. Unfortunately im just not one of those people that can do drugs and get in the zone and magically make music, it seems to have the opposite effect on me.
Now that's a blanket statement if I ever heard one! cannabis and addiction do NOT deserve to be in the same sentence. Also, have you ever heard of a pain contract?? It's a signed paper your doc presents to you for your chronic pain, it gives you the freedom to get your painkillers prescribed without having to go from doc to doc. Also, addiction is different from dependance. With addiction, one abuses, steals and lies to feed their addiction to get high, with dependance, one uses the meds to get from A-B, much like a wheelchair, but doesn;t abuse his meds or lie or cheat to get them. Please don't blanket the use of substances. Your statement surmises that one drug does this better than the other does this for this thing. This not only is incorrect but how would you know how cannabis or oxycodone influences my production? You don't , please refrain from making such statements.. Like you said you not a doc, but just the other day, BOTH of my docs suggested I use cannabis for my severe chronic pain , why, due to it's NON addiction characteristics.nowaysj wrote:I'm not a doctor, and I haven't even played one on TV, but in my opinion weed destroys your executive functions. People just tend to make shit decisions when stoned. There are A LOT of decisions to be made while producing. A couple of bad decisions equals a total dead end for a track.
But, as we all seem to know, weed can alert you to sounds and potential opportunities that you regularly would miss. IMO weed can be a part of your workflow if it only occupies a stage, or even several stages of your process.
Narcotics, as I'm becoming aware (have been taking some prescription pain relievers), don't interfere with your executive functions. They may cloud other aspects of your consciousness, but it seems the executive is still sitting at his desk. I find I am more conscious of groove (not the micro groove, weed is better for that, more the macro groove, how the song is grooving). But then I'm not taking a whole handful of painkillers, so I can't really say. I can barely feel them when I'm taking them.
Both of those drugs are hugely addictive, and I wouldn't encourage anybody to take either.
To those that have "artistic hangovers" what happens when you listen back to those stoney tracks while you are stoned on subsequent occasions? Does it still sound good, does everything sound good, or does it sound shit? I've heard some really inspired stuff from stoney minds, but often the work can only be accessed in that state. People that are successful in the stoney state seem to have a process to making their stuff, alleviating pressure on that missing executive, and just vibe successfully.
