I'm trying to support your awards by voting, but then you come and tell me my vote doesn't count. Where do you put the line on who you consider a legit vote or not?

Legitimate artists, not troll artists, will be counted!
Our research team here at the DMAs have looked in to said 'Wanka' and as we say, it's pretty obvious that it's just a troll/joke artist.
We respect ALL artists, if they're legitimate.

There are many artists at your night that I consider to be joke artists. Weird Al Yankovic would probably be considered a "troll/joke artist", and he's won 3 grammy awards and been nominated for 8 more, 4 gold records and 6 platinum records.

after doing some research of my own i have discovered that surely the artist on your lineup known as 'Zomboy' must be a troll artist.
mainly because the name borders on plagarism, but also after listening to his music it must be trolling.
^ this is surely just as much 'trolling' as DJ Wanka, and with a name like 'pirate hooker', surely this can't be serious.
if this joke of an 'artist' counts then there's no way you can discredit another artist that as just as (questionably) legitimate

I will be voting seriously as I want the producers/djs/labels etc that I like to win something but I want to make a suggestion. It's obvious that most of the people on the FB page haven't a clue about the beginnings of the sound and who was involved and those involved really don't fit into any voting category. So, if you could take it upon yourselves to give recognition to people like Sarah Lockhart, all the guys at Big Apple, Horsepower, Zed Bias etc it would be greatly respected because let's face it, if it wasn't for those people, you guys wouldn't be doing this and this forum probably wouldn't be here.

If Cher Lloyd and Zomboy and other similar artists like that are allowed to win an award why isnt DJ Wanka. If youre just going to dismiss votes then it really isnt worth doing is it?? The awards arent for the most technically gifted, or most superior, they are for 'our' favourite. If youre going to choose who we are and arent allowed to vote for then just delete this thread and scrap the vote.
