haha that doesnt bring me down one bit. No offence or anything but thats not exactly the sound I was going for. My goal was to recreate the growl from Scatta at 00:41. And like I mentioned, I did this entirely in FM8. Not Massive. I can make it growl a LOT harder if I were to use any kind of formants but I didnt. I plan on using this bass in some tracks of mine and when I do that then I'll more or less mangle it to shit, growling the whole time lol

I've been debating between myself and I about doing this. My only argument against it is that it really takes away from the experience side of things. I am a firm believer that experience is the best teacher you can have so on that note I do not think that I will post something like that on this thread seeing as how it would give away the secret and would be an injustice to everyone who see's it because its all about figuring it out yourself. HOWEVER. If you would like to know more about how this sound was created, PM me on here and I'll be more than happy to give some VERY helpful hints. Again, this sound is mostly sine waves and that is one of the biggest tips I can give right off the bat.

what is all the hype? really...
you can make those sounds with ANY synth... take a mic, record some burps, excessive flatulence, or any other terrible organic noise, bounce that shit down, and BAM.... even THAT would be more original... sheesh

try using the envalopes to make make the filter amount change while its "wobbling" and use the peformer so u get a variation.

i duno about any synth.. but most like massive etc and any synths in reason are 100% capable. also yeh the burps with distortion & layering will work

not that similar. heard better/more similar sounds created by a few friends of mine. no offense your recreation is ok. good attempt though keep at it and eventually you are bound to come up with something close.

I just made a real good Scatta patch with only 3xOSC. It's tight.
