Easily Hyorin (the one in orange for those who care), she needs to get rid of that fringe though. There's another girl in their "parent" pop group 씨스타 by the name of Da-Som (think that might be her stage name as well?) who is a cutie, she's only 18 though. :|

Well, since this thread has tension already brewing,,,,

I think I'll just serve everyone my cup and make you drink it by force :)

I still don't understand why some women and men with black skin prefer to be classified as African American? I understand if you are of African decent, and are a US citizen, but if your just black with your roots originating somewhere else, why are you still considered African under ethnicity?

If your white, and Italian, does that mean your ethnicity is Russian American?

Because if so than dammit, my census forms lack that option.

Isn't everyone African then? How many generations do you need to go back? There were black people in England since Roman times, should their descendants be called African English, English, Black English, Black?

Seems all the over PC catagorising actually ends up being a bit racist with everyone tying themselves to different ancestry rather than what links them.

Confusing race with nationality was never going to end well. No wonder America still can't quite work out the difference. They managed to seperate church and state, but skin and state still has a little way to go it seems... :|

i've never met a person that preferred to be called "african american" over "black"

the only people that use that term are white people and maybe some people who think because "african american" has more syllables than "black" that they sound smarter

I'm pretty sure the term was created firstly to recognise the conditions under which most black ppl 'emigrated' to america and also to replace use of the word black. after all no 'black' ppls skin is actually black, just as no 'white' persons skin is actually white. they were used for their metaphorical implications.

if they're white then there's no need to replace the term black with african american because you wouldn't call them black anyway.

one of those things you just have to accept and move on from quickly or else you end up thinking about things that a) dont matter and b) will inevitably end up with at least ONE person deciding you are a racist

if i fill out a census form or whatever now i just tick 'other' because it doesn't matter to me at all what someone feels is the correct way to describe my ethnicity
