Haha will do Pkay. I like it but it's not really my genre. I'm not a rock fanatic but I could see myself enjoying this in the afternoon at a festival with a zuut and good weather.

Everything also added to the first post. I also added Claro Intelecto's - Reform Club, great album I sorely overlooked.

Pkay, Cloud Nothings are sick, and I'm going to give them as much of my money as I can.

Big up.

Them and Dive. Check out Dive as well. Cant nominate them for record of the year as they've just been doing little singles lately but they're fucking fantastic

Oh my dayyyyyyyyyys, Pkay costing me £££ up in this thread.

Thanks dude.

Cloud Nothings kind of remind me of:

Not sure why, they don't really sound anything like them, but when I first heard them, Tokyo Police Club came to mind. They never really went anywhere.

They're from Ohio... midwest and canada have similar influence/vibe.

that low-fi indie rock vibe. Cloud Nothings have a lot of Hum, Man or Astroman influence with a sprinkle of the strokes beat wise.

Really happy to see a resurgence of low-fi nerd rock kinda shit.

I took the LLC I had a few of my digital dubstep labels on and am using it to establish a new rock label and sign a few low-fi Austin bands to do some little 7"s and digital releases.

Actually hanging out with Dive tonight as they're playing a bar nearby tonight in LA. Gonna see about buying a track or two for a 7" to kick off a label.

Have zero access to brit bands unless they come through the southern USA... but if you know of any UK bands up my alley send me some links. I'm looking to do the first 7" split in september and do one monthly with digital release 2 weeks later. Got 6 artists so far just looking for a bigger name for the first release (ie dive would be great)

I just added Pop Ambient 2012, featuring Bvdub, Wolfgang Voigt, Triola and Simon Scott amongst others. The vinyl was out late 2011, but the CD release crept up quietly in January.
Honesty commands me to say that this years edition, as is kind of the trend, doesn't touch the editions of the late Nineties and early Naughties, but still the series is a good indicator of who's doing big things in the ambient scene right now.

Spiritualized - Sweet Heart Sweet Light

A quality album this. Perhaps not quite back at the level of Ladies & Gentlemen, but for me nothing really is. Definitely a contender for my top albums of 2012 so far. Although it's not been a great year for albums yet...

added, though I'd have to agree that it hasn't been the most impressive year so far, Actress - R.I.P. is really doing it for me. I honestly think it is a work of genius.

Also, I'm not gonna add the album because I think it simply isn't that great, but CLAMS CASINO (who had one of the best albums last year) has a track on it that has outrageous beats (the lyrics don't do that much for me).

It's out on Mac Millers free album - Macalicious.

Perfume Genius's "Put Your Back N 2 It" is growing on me too. His voice has the same resonating effect on me that phil collins does. Really great piano driven music if you fancy yourself someone with a wide array of musical taste. Not for everybody but this is just good music

Black is Beautiful by Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland (Hype Williams) is really good. The 9th track is absolutely fantastic

Just wanted to add Shifted - Crossed Paths to the list. One of the most clinical techno albums of 2012. It's so bleak and minimal in the beats section, but still has a filthy subconscious, a great almost hidden darkish atmosphere.

Good stuff for puttin this list together

Fort Romeau - kingdoms
Tasty deep house

Machine drum - room(s) 2 disc reissue
Lovely blend of everything at healthily hopping bpm

Might add more later

Surprised its not on there already but scuba - personality is huge

good shout on the first two!!
Yeah, Scuba not being in the list is an overlooking on my behalf. Originally I didn't add House/funky stuff either because most of it can be found in the House forum, then again not everyone checks that so I and everyone started adding stuff from there as well. I'm personally not big on Personality, in fact I think it's his weakest album so far, it's too light-hearted and sounds like elevator music at times, at least his progression is applaudable, but the style is not for me.
Added though, Scuba deserves it!

I've also added some links to favourable reviews, not going to do that for stuff I haven't heard and also, sometimes there are no good reviews available on the net, but here and there I've added a good link.

Thats the problem when someone makes a classic like Triangulation, everything afterwards will always be slightly disappointing
