I'm sure it does some things really well and i'd love to try it. But not for the built in plugins, there's plenty of choice out there.
Yeah think you missed the point there slightly. We are talking about the bundled plugins.
And actually, in my opinion, space designer does stand up with the lexicons and the ativerbs. Its convolution too, so you can expand it with all sorts of new reverb spaces, just like ativerb.

I remember when Sculpture and ultrabeat were additional plugins you had to buy for like £500 or so to have in logic as an expansion of sorts, and that's AFTER you have just spent £500 on Logic itself. (it was the size of a small library too!)

Currently at £139.99 Logic is a STEAL imo.
I have used lots of different DAWs in diferent studios, but for me logic is the one. Its quick and stable, I had cubase 5 for mac crash around 6 times in one day before. What I'm trying to say is don't knock it until you have tried it. But at the asme time I dont tent to usually Bum apple silly, but I do however like their DAW very much
Actually i didn't realise how cheap it was, that's a big surprise. I was looking it from the point of view that plugins can be swapped with third party stuff, whereas any workflow/interface/routing type of stuff can't. But for that price its definitely worth picking up.
