However did the natural world survive all those hundreds of millions of years without us? :o :)
there were predators that kept them in check ;-)

In Scotland they're voting for the wolves, but I was joking really. Humans control their environment wherever they go; it's one of our major advantages over non-civilised animals.

It's all about making sure animals are in appropriate places - wolves in Yellowstone or Yosemite keeping deer populations in check? Good thing. Wolves roaming downtown LA? Bad thing. Blanket assumptions about hunting are a bit silly... it's all about context.

We have a club for that at uni. Like people join up and then you're all given the name of someone else in the club that you have to "assassinate". This is done with like water pistols or any other toy weapons or non harmful things you can do to people.

Wub, paintballing is fun as hell. Hunting humans is absolutely exhilarating.

Catch and release: fuck fish bro, any species that eats its babies is fair game as far as I'm concerned.

I knew someone would bring this up.

We're fucking this planet up rather quickly. In the grand scheme of all things I don't think we will last here very long. But alas being human and acting in accordance with nature simultaneously can be difficult.

Just our presence here is enough to disturb the balance in wildlife population. If there weren't 7 billion of us taking up the entire planet maybe hunting wouldn't be necessary.

i have a few:

S&W SW9VE 45
Springfield XD-3.8 9mm
glock G17 9mm

grew up shooting, its good fun when you're camping hundreds of miles from anyone and they are great at scaring off bears and large ass cats, etc

i used to hunt as a kid and had rifles, but i stopped doing that years ago. now i only have the 3 and keep them at home or take them camping

my parents live in the mountains of New Mexico and they can be useful up there as well. My dad catches and releases raccoons in his land. usually you can catch them and take them up the mountain to a spot where a lot of other raccoons live and they'll be fine, but one time one came out the cage and turned on him real quick. a shot into the hill was all it took to get the raccoon going the other way

to each their own. responsibility starts with us imho

True,i have been once and it was awesome.I really enjoyed the bit at the end where we got to stand toe to toe and just shot the shit out of eachother.Funniest bit of the day was when we done speed ball, all you get is little boards to hide behind,me and my mate who organised the day ended up on opposite teams. It got to about half way through the game and my gun locked up,the rules are if you get shot or have a problem you have to stand up with your arms and gun in the air which i did.I walked off the course following the rules but happened to stroll past my mate who took it as a perfect opportunity to shoot me in the side of the head which hurt like fuck.
I got him back at the end in the free for all and also absolutely fucked his son up too.

i have no problem deer hunting, and whatever we kill gets eaten
been both bow and gun wise, prefer the gun as it's a cleaner kill
actually had to cut a deers neck when bow hunting cause it wasn't dead from the arrow, gutting a dead animal ain't as bad as killing one up close and personal

and yea wub paintball is fun as hell, especially big outdoor courses without natural cover and such
had a sick field just off the base in ft hood texas that me and a bud used to hit up quite a bit
speedballing and indoor can be fun, but if you hve a shit marker vs someone with a full auto or tricked out one it get's painful heh

I could never get into paintball for some reason. I was big into airsoft for a while though. Anyone still play? It's pretty ridiculous these days! People have modified airsoft tanks and choppers and shit.

Where we went there was an airsoft course, you had blokes in their 40's-50's turning up in full combats with helmets on and everything looked proper stnuc.
I can't wait to go again, one of the guys that run it was telling us they had a stag do turn up with about 50 blokes who all decided it would be a good idea to wear tutus. He said other than masks that was all the had on and in the free for all bit at the end they all peppered the stag and he actually left pissing with blood.Nice guys in my opinion, most definitely the type of fellas i would run with.

yea modern paintball courses tend to suck imo, neon color unis blow up medians and barriers
i preferred in the overgrown woods with fatigues and ghillie suits, proper tactics and such
setting up in a treestand with a sniper style tippmann

all depends on who you play with and where you play i guess

we used to have an abandoned 2 story post office course like that
now the most recent one we have is a 1 level in basement of this building with that inflatable shit
in here, heh i renovated upper sections of that building for a record store/recording studio back when, they're full of shit
