I thought Versus was ok but it was too long, I got a bit bored and that. I much prefered Wild Zero, now that's a great zombie movie. Thing is, now I'm older I don't watch movies so much cos I get antsy and can't concentrate if the movie's too long.

the introduction to 'the mystery of chess boxing' is by far and away the best of its genre in my opinion.

oh man, walking dead is just amazing, in spain is published oon TPB's we have 5 at the moment. big writer. very good comic-book robert kirkman knows how to do things, i enjoy a lot Irredimeble antman too...

talking about kung-fu and comics instead of zombies and comics, i have the new series of Inmortal Iron Fist (marvel comics, Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction and David Aja), lot of kung fu in this one.

I second that, one of the best and toughest training sequences in any film, ever.

Or the follow the swinging light game with your head between the giant joss-sticks

Or the banging the gong in time with the monk's taps using a 4 foot pole heavily weighted at the end.

Interesting to note that you mention it is all (supposedly) real. I did not know that.

36th chambers is amazing, i enjoyed a lot, and also has political stuf!!! perfect movie hehehehe about real or no, i think there some wire-fu in the movie, is not like Tonhy Jaa flicks (ong-bak) this guy can jump up to your shoulder for real! (what a sick bastard tony jaa).

and chinese ghost! another big boy movie!

a little note on bruce lee stuf, i love almost all the stuf done by him, specially Fury of the dragon with Chuck Norris! and the infiltration in fist of fury.

I was suprised how little I liked 36th Chamber, I guess I read too much about it before watching. Like I said earlier in the thread, if it's Shaw Brothers kung fu, it has to be Crippled Avengers. I also like the rollicking adventure films with Ti Lung and David Chiang (although I think Chiang was a bit of an arrogant punk), movies like The Heroic Ones and The Anonymous Heroes.

i saw 36th chamber on the weekend and i thought it was brilliant, tho definately hillarious without meaning to be...

and that stuff about it all being 'real' 'no special fx' seems completely ridiculous after watching it
