all these fuckers who decide to produce what is hot at the moment, don't have any influence on the music scene. They're simply bandwagoners and in the long run, will be the reason the listeners loose interest. Its the people who are innovative and creative who will prevail, and they'll keep doing what theyre doing even if nobody plays their music at the big raves.

Totally. This attitude is the attitude of a lot of big producers atm, and I think it is a good one, make what you feel sounds good, be it Dubstep, DnB, Prog House etc etc.
Everything doesn't have to be a genre within a genre, if it's good - listen to it - if not, don't.

A lot of the originators in the scene are treating dubstep like a bit of a dirty word these days, which is really sad to see. Fair enough you want to make something new, but its a bit silly to slag off a genre that gave you a platform in the first place. I also think the whole dubstep is dead thing could end up being a self fulfilling prophecy, if you throw enough shit some sticks.

Every scene goes through this at some point, I can't think of one music scene that has been immune to this.
It always seems to devolve into "my secret club isn't secret or hip anymore", or a sense of jealousy and entitlement that "these new guys" are more successful than they are with some new offspring of a genre that isn't like it's roots.
You have some people who genuinely get bored of the stuff, but you also have talented producers who jump from one scenes bubble to the next when one bursts and make a very good living at this.
It's just a shame that they always seem to need to do some shit talking of the genre they just came from to gain some "cred" from the new thing they just jumped on.
Not saying it's a bad thing, just a fact of music, especially electronic.
I'm surprised it's taken this long for dubstep with how quickly it's garnered a pop/mainstream audience.

I understand what your saying man, this is the first music scene iv been properly involved with so its really disappointing for me that its going the same way as other scenes, despite it being an inevitability

Dubstep revival in 7 years.

Just wait.

Everyone involved will think they are one of the originals.

So..you're pretty much saying the new sounds Kill The Noise is pushing out is "Bland, boring, and generic music" but then right after..you said "I fail to see how a genre of music can simply "die", especially with all the new producers in the scene"

The only producers that are being known is the ones pushing out new sounds... so you're bitching about a scene dying but you're the one bashing on the scene itself. And that makes sense how?

And I agree on Seven Lions etc.. it's nothing special. But I totally disagree with KTN. How can you talk shit on a producer that put out good tracks, collab'ed with great artists, and has done more in his life than you ever will? Are you jealous? Or just ignorant and retarded?

I'll honestly be surprised if you can put out something 1/10 as good as his production skills let alone his creativity with the music. And I'm pretty sure you just started producing from the past few years. So how can you talk shit on someones production that's wayy past your level?

This "scene" is going to shit cuz noobs like you. All the veteran producers have already done what you're doing so they're creating something new for people to hear. While you're still stuck in 07. Saying "Look at me, I'm a hipster, fuck all those new sounds(meanwhile)"

That woodblock in your sig with slight reverb has been overdone, your 8 bars sounds like it has been looped over 6 times, that bass @2:02 sounds like a reesey bass KTN/Noisia/FeedMe would create and they've done it for years & years. You just started using that sound a couple months ago I'm assuming(unless you want to show me something of yours from '09 and before?)/talking shit on the people that have been doing it before you've even touched a DAW... You're putting out bland, boring, and generic music.

That whole wave of DnB (the Lifted crew) is one that has jumped to the next popular genre multiple times. From the harder DnB to fidget/electro house, to dubstep and I actually know Ewun/KTN.
They're good producers, but even smarter to do so to stay relevant and constantly touring, however I don't think any of them have ever shunned their roots, just said they got burnt out on them.
It's kind of sad that working with Deadmau5 or Skrillex netted them more recognition than Dieselboy, as I'd love to see a return to that sound with some of the production skills they've improved now, hell even an Evol Intent reunion, but such is music.

wow mate, way to insult one of the nicest guys on this forum. I would say the scenes going to shit because of negative nancies such as yourself. I doubt hircine would be jealous of a sound completely different to his own, and when hes also starting to get recognition for his stuff anyway. quite frankly, I would agree that the whole obnoxious growl that the artists your defending rely on is becoming bland and generic, and at least Hircines sound is closer to the roots of dubstep. Slating someones music because you disagree with their opinion is the hallmark of a wanker.

jesus h christ, why do people think they have to defend celebreties. can anyone please explain that to me? it's the single most annoying thing on the whole internet.
The people talking about celebrities/caring about what they're doing/having a thread on brostep/talking about brostep 24/7 is probably more annoying than defending any of that anyday.

And my first post is Reverse Psychology. I honestly don't give two ishs about what Hircine does or says, I truly think his music is good for that type(my own opinion). I just want to "act" like that person you hate. And see your reactions. It's awesome.

Problem/Reaction/Solution.

Now lets talk more about production.
this thread had literally nothing to do about brostep before your ass became sore. shoo
in regards to biome, i cant stand when people use this "scene is dying" bullshit. theres literally SO MUCH good music out there, fuck off if you want to use a pathetic reason like that to make new music. make what you want, period. lost a lot of respect for biome hes a great producer too

To me it seems like a rant aimed at house and techno more than dubstep.
