Also the merging of two files, does that have a name.
Come to think about it the point about connecting my CD Recorder is irrelivant. I will get the mix from tape onto CD just using my HI-fi, and then put a CDR into the PC and it will rip it onto the hard drive.

Okay I'll try the Cool Edit Pro way, if that doesn't work I'll consult you guys more.
Cheers for the advice, I can be a bit of a luddite at times.
PS: Don't be expecting this all to be done today, but I might have it done for next week, and I'll see about getting it online and everything. When that happens I'll put another post on this forum

i don't use it myself (i have Wavelab) but I would imagine that it is as simple as cutting & pasting the audio - this is a pretty standard function in wave editors.
edit: didn't see you have Cool Edit - you can do everything you need in that, try reading the Help file or looking online, it's really not that hard.

Just copy the second side the tape and paste it at the end of first part.
or...Don't hit stop...play tape, switch round, play second side.
cut out 10seconds of nothing..
am i missing something
