DOA stylie

then we all go nuts when we cant circlejerk about bullshit.

EXCITE
what happened with DOA?
Fresh sold it, the original server owner/maintainer left, most of the mods and normal regs left and it went to shit and slow as fuck.
Production on here had a fair few of The Grid regs 06-09
It's like the vice of dnb now, but still has classic shit.
I'm someone with 25k+ posts on there as well.
The best writer for the site now runs http://pigeonsandplanes.com/ and writes for complex.com

It is now no longer full of producers and fans, but brosteppers and hipsters sadly.
You used to be able to start an I hate Pendulum thread and have them respond, now it's full of I hated Pendulum before it was cool, check my Pendulum shirt.

DOA is the place you could find a dude from Noisia asking what a reese was in 2001 or something.

After reading all that, I didn't have time to read the other comments in the thread but..
sounds like he is delusional to some extent.
Talking about 'true happiness' and 'detaching one self from material things' etc..

Making such a life change in that amount of time indicates something is wrong imo.
I mean, I know spending too much time behind a computer and drinking are bad for you..
but it takes some kind of defect to radically change your way of thinking and lifestyle like that.

anyway big up wobbles great dude and i hope you find what you want in life :Q: :w:
Good point. Moderation can take more effort than going cold turkey.

As an introvert I don't really see myself as locked up in a jar. I think maybe if you are unhappy when you're alone you're probably not an introvert  .

From his description it sounds like he worked at the dmv. Rough.

As long as he is happy and isn't just telling himself he is happy then good for him.

to each their own i guess; but imo it's better long-term to learn to moderate yourself rather than avoid something because you're afraid you'll slip back into old habits. like if you really are the type of person who has to drink/do drugs/party/whatever (not saying that's the case here), i think it's better to go on mini-binges and get it out of your system rather than letting that shit build up for years

anyway, out to wobbles for trying to get his shit together :Q:
