So true. As long as they feel desirable and have been fucked lately, you can do as you please.
Or, say something really nice, like, I don't know, "God you look beautiful today" and then bask in the freedom afforded to you - for at least an hour.
Then repeat.

hah

Great thread!
unklefesta is totally right about the "chicks dig dj/producers" .... like...few weeks ago i told i make music to 2 of my female classmates and i immediately saw and felt their interest in me went up

And they started asking oh wow really, that's cool, what alias do you use bla bla bla
I myself am looking for a girl who is supportive in every way....
Music is a huuuuge factor in my life and i'm not giving it up!
Lol, and i have a cat also

No compromising! Only perfect 10s from here on in.
IMO (now) If a girl doesn't support and encourage your expression and art, then wtf - that's the same as not supporting and encouraging you on a personal level, as the beats we make are reflections of our selves.
Right now, I don't think I could see anyone that I didn't meet through dubstep somehow (!). That's pretty bad. haha. I'm going to be alone forever. Well, you know, swinging aside.
can I get an AMEN???!!!

a local producer friend of mine once said "i would have a girlfriend, but they gotta know that drum n' bass comes first, they usually don't like that."
then again this same person said "you gotta make wobble if youre serious about producing and making money, otherwise youl'l be eating ramen noodles and selling weed on the side for the rest of your life"

ha, I'm glad this thread is going, I need to vent. Try having a 4 year old son, doing it single father style, working full time, having a gf, and then not only producing dubstep, but idm, drum n bass, and downtempo as well, and gigging ALL the time. For real- it's insane. I dropped the gf so surpisingly enough, even with all the other stuff going on, I feel like I have lots of production time. My finding is: when you have obstacles to overcome, you push harder. I honestly think that if I didn't have all these things "slowing me down", I may not be the determined hardcore motherfucker I am. But that's not for everyone. Might just be because at heart I'm lazy!

Wait....
What the hell is the point of making beats and djing if you already have a girl? I thought we were doing all this to score groupies. What have I missed?
lol.

the secret is to find a girl or a man who wants to make music just as much as you. teamwork. or just solo...jam out together. its fun.

always make some time for eachother, but make sure youre fitting in that time for production.

a quote from an actual e-mail from my girlfriend last week:
"Maybe if I turned myself into a record or a turntable or a computer you’d want to see me."

"If only I could meet a man as into the dub as I was"
