I think that when choosing a name for yourself its important to have some thing original sounding and memorable for obvious reasons, for example you need a name that, when typed into google search, does not come up with 2,000 choices to choose from . Also, the more original the name, the better not to get confused with other artist/producers.

An idea for creating a name would be for example....a phrase or saying, but then change the spelling, grammar or even a whole word. Also rhyming is good too, it makes the name more catchy and memorable in my opinion.
