Who has tinnitus?

..when I'm in a friend's car and they listen to loud music it gets extremely painful I've noticed.. especially on the right ear. I have to beg him to turn it down and he usually gets sort of annoyed but man, that shit hurts! Plus when I'm listening on a rig that has the tops turned up or music with a lot of high end freqs. .

I've definatley got signs of getting tinitus but its in its very early stages as I get ringinng in my ear for about 5-10seconds once a week at least. Next time I come into some money im getting myself some er15's

I did have a very small hole in my right eardrum when I was around 10 as i used to get fuckery ear infections from swimming pools but never had an operation or anything. Recently tho my right ear feels colder (maybe hotter im not sure) on the inside and I hear sound as if my ear is covered with some thin material

My first post and it's on tinnitus. Lovely. I can't find the "introduce yourself" thread.

Well, I wanted to post here because I was at a party recently and someone commented on my earplugs. The guy said, you don't need earplugs. I just said, whatever. After the show, I got to thinking, I would rather lose my voice than my hearing. If I have to choose between losing my sight or my hearing, I would choose my sight. I still prefer losing my voice over the other two. But if I lose my hearing, I think it would be the end of the world for me. I'm pretty much dead. My soul would be dead.

So, take care of your ears kids. This is not just coming from a nursing student but someone who loves music, in general. I'm sure you want to hear your favorite music in your deathbed. I do.
