Because I watched an interview which featured his whole crew, including his producer who is straight edge and non-violent. Perhaps I understated, but what conversation are we having?

you're prolly thinking of young chop...he produced a lot of the big tracks like I Don't LIke, Everyday, Love Sosa etc and is as you describe a pretty calm dude

But chief keef has made tracks with beats from lots of different producers...that's the way it works. Also those beats sound nothing like chop beats really.

Young Chop only had two beats on this tape. Everything else aside from one other track was made by Sosa.
