dmt is .. fun.
i should have said apparently it's also like dying and going to hell if you have a bad time, but i've only ever done quite small amounts, which has been phenomenal. and k is bad for you. mushrooms are good imho.

btw. anyone going to glade this year? they haven't released the lineup yet but vex'd are rumoured. would be really cool to see more dubstep there. there's a discussion about that here:

i def have a "Do You" philosophy regarding drugs... just leave me out ;)

BUT, and theres a but... yo, i seen alot of people a straight fucked up mess on K. its had a not so nice effect on the US rave scene IMO. doesnt strike me as a party drug. probably has to do with its clinical use as a horse tranquilizer.

if youve ever seen a package of Ketaset, it clearly says "For Sub-Human Primates Only".... i dunno, seems like decent advice..

if you wanna be turned into a derranged nutter, with no concept of time or space go for it. Though that said when you go into 8bit computer game mode that is pretty funny.

Smoking all the way for dubstep, or nothing.

**edit** btw, please dont take my comments as being in some holier than thou fashion, i smoke cigarettes, smoke herb everyday, and probably drink way too much. one mans poison is another mans medicine. so goes.

re :dmt

just imagine closing your eyes for fifteen minutes.. and in that time spending a few hundred years wondering around some vague memory you might have had..

opening your eyes and then trying to work out which experience is actually real..

so ive heard anyway.
Only recently learnt that DMT is a naturally occuring chemical in the brain. Not in a rush to try it though, seems to be one of the most intense drugs there is.
Think you'll find that's true for most drugs we're into.

It's about brain receptors, which is why there is no comedown on DMT because it fits the brain receptors in a perfect fit.

But we've also got brain recptors for tobacco family, numerous parts of the cannabinoid family, opiates, well the list is pretty endless really.

And we only have the braIN receptors because we already have those drugs in the body.

Know one person, a good mate who did DMT, and his Mrs always maintained that that explained a lot, this was 20 years after :)

Some brazilian churches do DMT as part of ther sacraments I think, bet their services are a bit more, intense :)

For me it's mushrooms, though not fopr a while, but I have loved the little tings over time.

They really are, not over the top or rowdy like, but silentlly intense . . . I saw a doco bout quacks lookin fr "miricle" cures (mostly fr addiction) in psycodeliks . . . one man was in the rainforest, and they had footage of people takin der DMT (or Yage or wotever vine bark concoction) and jus chillin, goin inside but in company, like sitting on chairs, all chilled n quiet, apprantlly they do the stuff pretty regular & have almost 0 crime, n no violence in der communities.

This doco had a sheila who was giving crackheads a derivative of peyote and then talkin em thru the addiction . . . she was gettin very good results, with Alchos as well, but so did those Canadians in the 50s / 60s wif LSD, untill the CIA got hold of it

I’ve done DMT twice. The first time I didn’t hold it in long enough to hit the trigger level and thought it was a weak load of bollocks. Did it the following week and it knocked me for six (especially because I wasn’t expecting anything from it) - to this day it was the most intense experience I’ve had, by a long way… When I came around I honestly thought I’d been abducted by aliens. I couldn’t speak about it for days. People I know who have taken it had feelings of ‘being Jesus’ or ‘being buried alive’.

When I lived in Nottingham quite a few people on the party scene there were taking it regularly, and I remember a few of them were heading for severe psychological problems by the time I left, though that was quite likely due to a combination of factors. Many people talk of a period of calm and understanding following a dose of DMT, though I can’t remember if this was the case with me.

woah woah. ive read all sorts of accounts like mckenna's talking elves(!). =P...but yeah, i had a small dose of DMT once but it didnt "get" me. i think that's standard for all psych experiences though.

i dont think its something i would abuse for sure. a one-off thing would be nice. i never really even got into rolling on pills either...something about taking a pill to make me "happy and lovey" always bugged philosophically.

low level opiates are a wonderful thing though. codeine cough syrup and tylenol #3s...i'm saving my glamorous heroin addiction for my 75th birthday...

Heh...

Advocating smoking weed and then dismissing all other drugs is pretty insane dude.

I've not tried many serious drugs... but I'm not about to condemn those who do. I'll leave that to the anti-drugs campaigners
