na, i wasnt.
but rewinds should be more special and not as heavily rinsed as they were last night. when each and every tune gets pulled between one and three times, i loose the hype and get fucI<ed off and feel to sit down.

I guess that's your opinion but it was only during the pullups that you could move out of the big squeeze and get to the bar or the toilet. Iwas despo for the loo and a beer but couldn't move for about 30 mins during Kode9's set co it was soooo rammed and rocking. Tune got pulled up and finally I was free! Like Pokes said!

"we pull up every tune cos every tune is B-I-G!"

Fucking great night. Legendary. People will be talking about this night in ten years time. It was that big.

Kode 9 - yeah, seriously progressive. Dropping Prince was a master stroke. Loved the Miles Davis "On the Corner" t-shirt (used to be his favourite LP years back).

DMZ rocked it. Literally. On the stage I could hardly stand up from the bass pressure. Mud was just huge.

Skream - incredibly good. Massive power combined with loads of wicked hooks, loads of propulsive bouncy energy, and loads of female vocals (personally I want lots more of that please! from everyone in the scene!).

Security were arseholes, absolutely no need for it. Because...

Above all it was all about the crowd. It's "moody" London, it's way too packed, it's got loads of people new to dubstep but... what a sweet crowd. Not a trace of attitude despite the crush and the aggression from security. The massive just shrugged it off and got down.

Brilliant night. Not quite the amazing spiritual release I got from seeing Mala solo but still fantastic.

And it's great to see from this thread how dubstep is bringing all the old raver dads out again - big up the daddy massive...

First time at DMZ. Was unreal. Highlights for me were hearing Kode9 drop Burial, the first 3 or so tracks in Loefah and Mala's set where the bass was so constant felt like i had a bee hive in my rib cage and Plasticman's set at the end was just right to get me home as i was running on autopilot by that point. 'Japan' BIG TUNE!

Being in the toilet cubicle felt like being in a airplane toilet during turbulence.

I felt like my younger days of ravin were back where u hid behind ur mate just to take a couple o tokes, madness! Apart from dat a heavy nite still, good to see da peeps old n new and the ladies...cor blimey! Good to see a female interest in the music all im waitin for now is my 1st dub-step scrubs, see if the gal dem can wind down as low as the bass ya get me!! lol

agreed. it was the only blight for me on an otherwise awesome night of music.

it was my first DMZ too. been into the sound for a few years now but i dont live in london so it's difficult to get down for the nights that go on.

i thought Skream's tunes were the highlight, so much energy and bouce in his music as was said. but his set would have been better if the MC had let him actually mix his tunes and build up a flow, instead of literally pulling up every other track.

i'm not convinced the crowd prefers endless rewinds to good mixing, so to me it's egotistical rewinding every other tune like that.

other than that couldnt fault it. wicked, enthusiastic, knowledgable crowd, and proper sound too (loud, clean and flat, just as i like it!)

definitely lived up to the hype for me.

Still, they didn't have Mystikz playing in the background!
Oh well
Hell, my local pub (as well as the SU bar) has a jukebox machine that's linked up to iTunes!
if they make it onto there, anything goes... and i'll be exposing the happy drinkers for sure.

Couldn't agree more.
