Noah D is a guy coming over from the world of drums and basses I think im right in saying? Seems to be doing alot with babylon system atm (THAT argon 12" :D ). Making some pretty stomping ting, on a bit of a different tip. One to watch I reckons.

As for late, im not really sure, but think theres been some collabs between him and noah?

Highly recommended. Kind of Burial vibes but a lot "dreamier".

The way I see it is, the ones who are pushing the sound forward are the ones who can make a new track and you can instantly recognise the artist from the production. These guys are obviously sticking in your head for some reason.

At the moment I am really digging tracks that have vocalists rather than samples on them such as Cotti, Geoim, The Bug and a few more bits that I have heard.

OK, tracks i'm feelin at the moment that are like a new-ish kinda sub-sound are:

Mac Koall's The Rasta Core on Red Volume, and
How Cruel You Are by Robbing Hood (unreleased, come on people!!?!)

they both kill me at the moment. Slow wub.

also an Aussie guy(?) called Flash - his track Heaven Dub is madness. Stadium doom-step.

oh and some of Oyaarss tunes - craaaaazy amazing new vibe coming outta Latvia!

But when is Tech Itch gonna put out another track as amazing as Implant - love the dynamics of that track - and the dubstep/acid crossover ????

but yeah those are the producers who instantly come to mind THIS WEEK (changes all the time!) as far as making tracks i think ROCK and are slightly new or quirky in sound. Others are ppl like Itchy Robot and M2J and Threnody also move it fwd

I also have an eye on DZ, SPL, roommate, claw, babaylon system, noah d, so many more - i forget....

the 10Bag label though - killer! and NOPPA, ohhh!

but i reckon DopeLabs is very true in saying radio, especially net radio, is utterly PIVOTAL in bringing the sound forward

anyway.

true enough steve - i drop Distress Signal in nearly every set - crowd goes mad!

(see voidsound.com/web_mixes for more!)

but i think the thread is less about who is doing stuff that is not bad and more about who is doing stuff that makes you pull a stupid face cos its a step forward for the genre that you have not heard before... at least that's how I interpretted what the OP was getting at - but then again i have been accused of overintellectualising things.... :) heh heh

yeah true
me too
there is a massive wall of awesome new stuff pouring out from all over the place it seems
kinda overwhelming from a deejay/radio presenter point of view

and even more so from the POV of a slacker producer who never gets round to finishing tracks....

i so gotta spend more time in my studio!

ahhh well

the spice must flow!

and to dub.u - didn't mean to come off as hostile - justs didn't see the point of your post...? but hey who am I to criticise?

There is just so much good, forward thinking stuff around.
Can sort of see the trunk forking into many branches but they are all of the same tree

djunya
jakes
mala
komonazmuk
skull disco crew
sukh knight
peverelist
goth trad

in no order

i think a lot of unsigned producers are pushing the sound forward in different ways. not to discredit the signed producers, but i think a lot of the tunes in the dubs section and on myspace are more innovative
