seriously, if you are having doubts about dnb, then you are listening to the wrong styles, you need to check out the sect, proket, limewax, dylan, current value, noisia, catacomb, misanthrop, i could go on and on, trust me these guys are smashing it

AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!

everytime i see someone post in here that dnb has died, i just have to laugh to myself and stick on my latest limewax set. i havent listened to any accelerated culture (pendulum, etc) for about 3/4 years.
drum and bass has been reborn in the renegade hardware side of things. its extremely dark, but at the same time its still fresh because there are so many different styles there.
i heard my first loxy + ink set about 4 years ago and havent looked back since

i like the cut of your jib sonny jim
he's right ya know, if your not actually aware of what is going on in the scene, dont even comment on it, you cant know if you think its dead
now lets have no more of this nonsence, doubters go and find some sets by the aformentioned artists and fall in love with dnb all over again, ( ps, ive had a few beers so dont watch the spelling)

LOL.
Someone needs to get in there and fix up stat. That's not even funny but just embarrassing.
I am in strong belief that once 0=0's album on Planet Mu drops a whole load of people are gonna be into jungle again.

Most DNB now blows fat nuts..... I can't get into most of it.... Used to love Total Science, J Majik, drum sound bassline smith..... now they make garbage.... I just busted out "wots my code" the other day, an old ass Total Science tune....now THAT was a tune!!! WTF is this shit they do now? Saw Q Project with J Majik last year and they threw the most uninspiring sets I ever seen, when back in the day I saw those guys playing fucking bangers..... grrrrrr.... it kinda pisses me off the way DNB has progressed.
I never really got into the evil death metal DNB (dylan, tech itch, killing sheep label) either, I can only stand it for about 5 minutes....no soul whatsoever.
For the last 3 years, all I buy are liquid, and mostly ragga, joints. Maybe it's different over here in the US, as I think there is a lot more Dj's that play the ragga here it seems, all that new school jungle. I buy a lot of that. General Malice, Tester, twin Hooker, Paulie Walunts, etc. Also buy all the dubwize shit I can get my hands on.... Digital Soundboy, that dubwize label, lookout records, There's more that I can't think of right now.

...please dont use the 'soul' word so freely.
sometimes you dont understand or resonate with that particuluar soul but it doesnt mean it's not there.

the darker side of DnB is stil good, tech itch, etc
the jump up, more commercial side, is still good imo, but only in certain places, eg. a rave/party -you cant sit at home listening to that in my opinion
and jungle will never die!
is there any producers at the moment who are still on the oldschool jungle kinda vibe?
