you got some new kit then mate? will have to come check it out sometime, aint been over for timetoastyghost wrote:I have new toys I want to really show off and shaking people's bogies out seems to be the best way!![]()
Getting hold of all the Loefah releases will be pretty easy, just have to tap up a few friends. Nice one, keep them coming though.
are you kidding? The Future is rediculous low. 40 hz is pretty damn low to me.TeReKeTe wrote:the SP:MC plate on tempa, as has been stated before, is no joke. though it's more about the sub being really loud in that one than being super-low.

skream - shake it
nothing by me then!!! hahahaha altho i have a few tunes that go so low in places that my 6 inch monitors cant actually reproduce them. just sit there wobbling a lot looking silly. must upgrade reallytoastyghost wrote:It doesn't actually have to wobble, it just has to go stupidly low, even if only for a bit. I'm not massively into the jump-up end of dubstep so other stuff would be preferred in fact.

are those Function One bins.
what are you using for a processor?
find a song that you know inside and out and tweak that thing until they sound like right.
I used to work for a PA company, and i fired up Photeks' Terminus on a set of EAW SB850's, the breakdown that has the frequency sweep that just keeps dropping. the owner came running from the front office screaming that i was shaking his shelves.
Digital- Lower Depths
Relocate - Dot Dot Dash, oh wait, we're still waiting for that one..
Martyn - Suburbia hits some low ones..
TRG - Generations (Breakage Remix) out this week..
but regardless what you play,
make it vinyl.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but look what someone's shown me:MileZ wrote:Loefah - Mud has one of the deepest basslines ever

What you don't hear affects what you do hear in the audible spectrum, as is the nature of waves. And since when has it been all about hearing the music?Blackdown wrote:below about 35hz is virtually inaudible. lots of producers do a 40hz cut...toastyghost wrote:What are people's recommendations on the best tunes that have some proper low end wobble going on; I'm talking 28-35Hz business. The more filthy the better.

Agreed. Love Martyn.kani wrote:Digital- Lower Depths

normally I would say this is untrue, but for testing the system I was looking at, you'd want the best possible source with the widest possible spectrum. When dialing in, I would say you would wanna do it right.but regardless what you play,
make it vinyl.
I have that track somewhere already - it wasn't about getting anal though, just impressing the crowd that invariably hang about before a gig gets going!spencerTron wrote:Rather than a dubstep track...try...
Acid Rain V.I.P. by Equinox (planet MU)
unfortunetly the clip on the page linked below doesn't have the big drop after the intro i was hoping, but if you can get the whole tune, it'll be a worthy contender of testing audio.

if you want to get really anal about set up, just buy the sound check CD from Studio Spares for £25.
